The original hang gliding experience over Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Operated by, WXC World Champion, National Champion, National team member and multi Record holder Konrad Heilmann and his team of friendly, safe and fully certified instructors.
The unique experience of flying a Hang Glider, launching of the Tijuca Forest National Park, surrounded by tropical Atlantic Forest, unique views of the Atlantic ocean and many landmarks of Rio such as Rocinha, Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer and more, finishing with a smooth landing on the white sands of beautiful São Conrado beach.

Additional information
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Hotel transfers aren't included but can be arranged, cost varies by location, please contact us after booking if you would like to request the service.
- Not wheelchair accessible
- A maximum of 8 people per booking
- If you plan taking the 360° camera option, it's recommended to install the "insta 360" app from the App store/Play Store before you come, this will help expediting imagery transfer times after your flight.
- Pictures and videos are usually downloaded to your phone so please make sure to have at least 3GB available for the standard imagery and another 7GB if you're planning on taking the 360° camera option.
- Near public transportation
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Most travelers can participate
- For safety reasons and aircraft capacity persons of or above 100kg/220lb can't be accepted for Hang Gliding, but paragliding might still be an alternative. On certain days, depending on wind and weather or mobility restrictions, even persons slightly below mentioned weight might be redirected to Paragliding for their own safety.
- On time use gloves available for customers and staff.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

You can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
Cancellation
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of the experience.

The actual flight experience is spectacular with incredible views of Rio, the ocean, etc. Injun, my instructor was great. Here’s the rest…When I booked this trip through trip advisor I was told by Konrad to meet at 3pm. I was not picked up until 4pm. After waiting around for another 30 minut...

Here’s the rest…When I booked this trip through trip advisor I was told by Konrad to meet at 3pm. I was not picked up until 4pm. After waiting around for another 30 minutes at the actual flight school, I was told I must pay an additional $100R..?! This was not clearly explained to me prior to booking. Last, I was told I would be parasailing even though I paid for the hang-glider due to weather conditions…I believe the paragliding is less expensive and I was not offered a refund for the difference…Once you actually get flying it’s a great experience, however their logistics and organization must improve for better customer experiences…!rubensferner

Klaus and Fuba were so kind with us. The whole experience with Hang Gliding was amazing and they made us feel comfortable and confident. We are coming back sometime soon. I’m pretty sure of that.

Such great instructors, they help you through the gutters. Its really an amazing experience and I would definitely do it again. Not scary at all.
