Overview

Experience an exhilarating RIB boat tour as you explore the rich coastal culture of the islands around Haugesund.

Your captain takes you through the quaint straits around Haugesund which originally gave Norway its name. The straits were the way to the North - the Nor-way! As the straits give way to the open ocean, get ready for the high-speed adventure while you immerse yourself in spectacular Norwegian nature with the smell of the ocean and the wind in your hair!

The tour takes you around some of the islands and little canals, with your captain telling stories of the history and people living in this rough coastal environment. If you’re lucky, you may just spot the White-tailed eagle that has its nesting area on one of the islands. Remember your camera!

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Røvær, Norway

Røvær is an island group in Haugesund Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The islands lie off the mainland shore about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of the town of Haugesund.
The 1.4-square-kilometre (0.54 sq mi) Røvær islands have about one hundred permanent residents (2014), as well as seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes, stay at Røvær Seahouse (Røvær Sjøhus) or the newer Røvær Culture Hotel (Røvær Kulturhotell). The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves principally through farming, fishing, employment at the express boat service, teaching at the island's local school, working at the salmon fish farm, or by commuting to work on the mainland.
During World War II, the island was occupied by German military forces, and there is still a concrete pillbox on Varden, the island's highest point.

Pass By: Feøy, Karmøy, Norway

Feøy is a small island group in Karmøy municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 1.3-square-kilometre (0.50 sq mi) island group lies west of the town of Haugesund and the island of Karmøy, southeast of the islands of Røvær, and northeast of the island of Utsira.

The island has 49 permanent residents, plus a number of seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes. The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves either through sheep farming, fishing, or by commuting to jobs on the mainland.

There is an old wharf on Feøy that was converted into the Feøy Brygge, a small meeting house and restaurant that caters meetings and parties.

During World War II, the Germans occupied the small island with troops because the area was an organizing site for resistance workers moving between Norway and Britain.

Great experience in the exciting RIB. Our captain was great. A top notch operation. We had a bit of bad weather, but still very fun. The authentically recreated viking farm and presentation were compelling and educational. Highly recommend.

Wow what an unbelievable experience! This made our trip to Norway ! This is NOT a rib ride that just plods along , it really is a white knuckle ride . The captain was superb as were all the staff involved, booked when we got off our ship (Iona) so half the price of the P&O experience. Bloody bri...

Absolutely brilliant and exhiliarating. Our guide was excellent and had so much local knowledge that made it so interesting. Beautiful. Saw the fish farms, local villages, different islands and a pair of Norweigian Sea Eagles (very hard to spot!). I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS TRIP ENOUGH.
