Ria Formosa: 3 hour tour with stops at Ilha da Culatra and Ilha da Armona
Overview
The ideal tour to get to know a lot about the Ria Formosa, and visit the island of Culatra, a beautiful fishing community that inhabits about 1000 people all year round, which will be an island producing its own energy by 2030! The houses are typical and traditions and customs predominate, a unique place in the world!
There are several infrastructures and restaurants where you will have the opportunity to taste and delight yourself with typical dishes from traditional restaurants. With the possibility of booking a table or having a Picnic, there are several options to choose from!
Then we will enjoy, for many, the best deserted beach in the Algarve, which is located at the end of Culatra Island, which separates the dark blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the clear blue of the Ria Formosa, where you will have the opportunity to dive, swim and take unique photos! A true paradise!
In case it is out of season , we will visit the magnificent Ilha da Armona , where we will stop around 1h00 to explore the island !

What to expect
STOPS: 2 Islands
During the interpretive tour, you will get to know a lot about the Ria Formosa and its Nature. The captain of the vessel will talk about the customs and traditions of the region, the fauna and flora of the region, as well as its history!
During stops, everyone is free to carry out any type of activities on the respective islands, advised by the captain of the vessel.

Beautiful place.. very nice trip.. awesome guide.! Carlos showed us the beautiful Ria Formosa and told us a lot about its history, animal life and showed us the islands.. would do it again when we return.. no doubt..

We went on this experience later than planned due to bad weather conditions, Carlos was very accommodating in rebooking us on a tour when the weather was better. It was well worth the wait as the two islands we saw were amazing and it was great to immerse ourselves in the culture, food and beauty...
We went on this experience later than planned due to bad weather conditions, Carlos was very accommodating in rebooking us on a tour when the weather was better. It was well worth the wait as the two islands we saw were amazing and it was great to immerse ourselves in the culture, food and beauty of these two islands. José booked us a table on the fisherman’s island for lunch and the food was amazing as it was all locally sourced fish and produce. We got some amazing pictures as well as some good knowledge from josé. Would definitely recommend for others to try this boat trip as it was very relaxed and enjoyable experience.dimsumham

Great trip to two islands and nice lunch, got to see the Algarve from a different perspective a lovely day out. The small child in the party had a ball too so this is good for kids if they want some fun

Booked the 3 island tour online that morning but was then called straight away to say it was fully booked. Carlos was extremely accommodating to the late request and managed to fit us in to the two island tour. The boat ride was great and William was an excellent guide/captain - a good balance of talking and giving information with just enjoying the ride. The chosen lunch stop was quite expensive but the food was good. Was lovely to wander and relax on the islands - would have happily had more time. A great way to spend half a day and our children (9 and 6) really enjoyed it too.timgT4667KC
