What to expect
Drive through the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, where some of the most prestigious estates are based (Pol Roger, Moët & Chandon).
Enjoy a moment in the vineyard, acquire knowledge about the particularities of our “terroir”. You will then discover the village of Hautvillers, birthplace of the champagne, where the famous monk Dom Pérignon is buried.
Be welcomed in Mareuil-sur-Ay at a typical Champagne House, Le Clos Corbier. After a champagne quizz, train your nose to identify the different aromas and flavors that can be found in the champagne wine through an olfactory workshop and then get to identify blindly 3 different champagnes from small wineries.Enjoy a traditional lunch which consists of homemade regional specialties paired with a variety of champagnes (can be adapted to allergies or specific diets).
Discover the Champagne region and visit a small producer. Stroll down the cool cellar’s corridors and glance at the immense quantity of bottles slowly maturing. Enjoy several tastings and find the best values of champagne! Your guide will drop you off at 6.00 pm, in front of Reims centre train station.

It was a wonderful day :) we are so glad we did it . Tom was a wonderful guide . Our 16 year old also accompanied us . Our group was really small so it was nice and informal and we all enjoyed the lunch and visiting the family run winery and seeing the sights and scenes of Reims and the countryside .
