Drive by “Notre Dame de Reims”, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Absorb the historical atmosphere of the city, home of the coronation of the kings of France.
Start with the exploration of the House of Champagne Pommery, with a tour of their cellars, classified at UNESCO World’s Heritage, and taste two champagnes.
Stop at a viewpoint on the elegant Montagne de Reims vineyards where your guide points out the particularities of the region: Why are our vines planted on hillsides? Why is our subsoil made out of such pure chalk?
Visit a family-run winery : discover the traditional press and vat room as your guide details the champagne making process. Enjoy tastings of their own production and acquire tasting knowledge with these rare champagnes!

Very informative and the 8 person group size meant it felt like a nice personal experience, and easy to ask questions. Guide was very knowledgeable and the combination of small grower visit and big champagne house provided a nice experience overall.

We booked this tour months in advance of our actual arrival to France, looking to learn something about Champaign, as I knew very little about it. I only knew that Champaign is always the drink of choice to toast a friend, during Christmas or weddings. Our tour guide (Tomas or Thomas) took care of that right away - boy did I learn a lot about Champaign and what goes into making it happen, what it takes to go from hand-picking the grapes to serving it out of the bottle. For those of you looking to be educated in the differences between Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pino Grillo, Merlot and Champaign, I highly recommend this 3-hour tour. You should be so lucky if Tom is your tour guide - he’s funny, knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable as he explains the intricate steps (and differences) in the Champaign making process - Great tour!
