Did 3 wine tours in Tuscany in March, this was by far the best experience. Our guide was fantastic. We very much appreciated that she took us first to the fields and discussed the cultivation of the vines in great detail. Only then did we go inside to begin the tasting (other tours only take place in a room inside). We asked for vegetarian snacks to go with wine, they were perfect. Our guide also went into detail about the production of the wine and had a good sense of humor. The wine was excellent and we ordered 6 bottles to be sent home to US, and they arrived in perfect condition before we did! The quality of the tour, the wine and the olive oil is superb. A wonderful, unforgettable experience.I've been sending my customers to the Podere La Marronaia for years and my clients always return with gleaming feedback. I highly recommend this venue for a truly unique and real Tuscan Experience!

Sara was our guide to the delicious olive oil and wine samples. We tasted 5 EVOO with balsamic vinegar and 4 glasses of wine. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The tasting was accompanied by excellent Tuscan food and bread. The view was breathtaking and she let us enjoy our food and wine at our pace. It was well worth the money, and taking a train to Poggibonsi before the bus came to take us to the winery allowed us time to explore that town too. We bought wine and EVOO and they ship for free to the US. Excellent! We visited Podere la Marronaia for a private wine tasting experience after a tour through San Gimignano. We visited Podere la Marronaia for a private wine tasting experience after a tour through San Gimignano. Vittoria met us, introduced us to the winery and its history, and let us stroll around the vineyard. It was a beautiful setting on a September afternoon, with panoramic views of rolling hills, blue sky, puffy white clouds, grape vines, olive trees, and the village of San Gimignano in the distance. Simply breathtaking! We sat on the patio for a relaxed 2 hours and Vittoria told us about the wines and olive oils that we were tasting, while bringing us a variety of Tuscan appetizers. (It was basically a meal! And all delicious!) Vittoria was kind, funny, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to spend time with! She is a great representative of the winery. Great anniversary memory for us! This was one of those experiences we will never forget. We ordered 12 bottles - and had them shipped home. Needless to say were were so happy to get that delivery after we were back at home and missing Italy. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It’s a lovely setting with a beautiful view. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It’s a lovely setting with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the meal and wine tasting as well as the oils. We even ordered some items to be shipped to our home. Here are the reasons it’s not a 5 star review: The person who explained the wines seemed to have memorized the descriptions and didn’t really interact with us as they were explaining each one. Also, the bread for the olive oil tasing was left in a paper bag on the table. Compared to the beautiful presentation of food and wine, this seemed like an afterthought. Overall, a very positive experience.
