You will be taken to the usually packed museum entrance, where you will meet you private tour guide and, with your "skip the line" ticket, you will skip the huge entry line and access the metal detector check.

The tour will begin in a gorgeous panoramic terrace that offers a stunning view of St. Peter's dome overlooking the Vatican gardens. The guide will then walk you through all the highlights of the museums which include masterpieces and artifacts from different cultures and civilizations.

You will enter St. Peter's Basilica through an exclusive gallery directly linked to the Sistine Chapel.
Your tour guide will fill you on the highlights of the Basilica, such as: Michelangelo's Pieta', Bernini's Baldacchin and the imposing façade.

We had a mix up with the time, totally my fault, but the driver and tour guide worked with us so we didn't miss any time even though we started an hour late. The driver took us from hotel to the Vatican where we met the guide Mario. Mario was extremely knowledgable, and helpful, we got through the lines easily, and he helped choose a route that was most efficient with the least steps for my wife. The Vatican is not very wheelchair friendly, so sh walked it, but he made it as easy as possible. She really appreciated the effort. Having a guide to explain all the art was great, there is so much there, that you will miss otherwise. I highly recommend this tour, and our guide Mario. I wish I could remember his name because he was awesome! Our private guide for the Colosseum was equally as awesome! She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She was very patient as we stopped for pictures and was awesome interact with our kids. And before I forget, I wanted to mention the manager at Explore Tours, Allessio. He was very patient with me as we went back and forth with emails attempting to work out all the details.
