Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), West Changan Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
Your tour will start from a pickup from your accommodation in downtown Beijing, meet your private guide and begin your evening tour of Tiananmen Square and around.
Walk through the Gate of Heavenly Peace, and see the bridges and columns lit up in lights. You'll get a whole new sense of Tiananmen Square as it sparkles by night.
Duration: 30 minutes
Pass By: Qianmen (Zhengyangmen), North of Qianmen Street, Beijing 100050 China
From here, stroll to Qianmen Street and the Dashilan commercial district which were one of the busiest streets in Beijing during the Ming and Qing dynasties and displays the traditional characteristics of local architecture and merchant culture. Because of its grandeur and unique design, Qianmen Street has long been seen as a symbol of old Beijing. It has also been a commercial center for nearly seven centuries.
Stop At: Qianmen Main Street Mall, Qianmen Main Street, Beijing China
Qianmen is a famous pedestrian street with a history that dates back almost six centuries: many stores here are over 100 years old. As you wander, your guide will tell you the history, traditions, and legends of these places.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Lao She Teahouse, Buliding 3, Zhengyang Market, Qianmenxi Main Street, Xicheng District, Beijing 100051 China
Just off Qianmen Street lies the expansive Lao She Teahouse, named for the novelist and dramatist Lao She (1899-1966), one of the leading Chinese writers of the twentieth century. His play Teahouse became a popular TV series in China.
Soak up the atmosphere in the teahouse, which has an elegant but unfussy style that feels like a return to Beijing life in the glory days of the 1930s. Enjoy a traditional show, which might be acrobatics or Beijing opera, sip authentic Chinese tea, and sample local desserts.
Your guide will provide directions back to your hotel by subway, or tell you where to get a taxi, or recommend great bars and nightlife areas for you to explore independently.
After the show finished, you will heading back to your hotel on your own.

I arrived in Beijing a few days before a business trip without having made many plans. I wanted to experience some of the performance culture and booked this tour largely for the event at the Teahouse. This was nice, but actually the tour with Jimmy was the real highlight. He was full of information about history, the modern city and the hutongs. When he learned of my interest in the hutongs, he changed the tour so we could avoid the tourist areas and we went deep into the hutongs south of Tiananmen. Absolutely fascinating and nothing I could have done on my own. A super experience!! Thanks!!Inspire719584
