Overview
This tour is a breath taking and an amazing experience. Your guide will meet you with a warm welcome and a smile. After leaving your destination weather the cruise port or the hotel, You are now on your journey to Nine Miles. note now the journey you will be taking is not "9 miles in traveling" but the place itself name nine miles. So you will be traveling from Ouch Rios or Runaway Bay or wherever you will be pickup from. The journey big in as you go through the hills up to Claremont or Brown's Town you will be passing through many little town. but it is the birth place of our late great reggae superstar you are going to Bob Marley and it's also his final resting place . The trip takes you through various villages where you can learn quite a lot about rural Jamaica- the real Jamaica. The guide takes you through the black gates, up a steep but beautifully paved walkway and up to Bob's childhood home and his final resting place.

What to expect
As Your Driver Greets You with a Smile and a warm welcome your Tour begins. You will be picked up at your Hotel or Cruise Ship port as you journey through the old river bed fern gully it’s a rain forest which is known for its wide variety of over 500 species of ferns. We continue up through the little village of Colgate then unto Golden Grove following the main to the clock tower at Claremont, we’ll then make the left turn.
As you enjoy the ride up through the cool hills and mountains you’ll see the country side farming yellow yam, sweet potato, cabbage etc. As we approach many corners we’ll go easy around them. We’ll see a few tamed animals as we go through the hills and curves up to nine miles at Bob place you will have the opportunity to see the villages and take photos. .
Now to the main part of this adventurous tour , as you enter you can go to the bar and have the drink of your choice listen to some Bob Marley music and see many albums of Bob, then you will be greeted by your tour guide a Rastafarian who will take you on your tour and take you up to Zion where bob is resting, after your tour you’ll leave well pleased of the knowledge you would now have of Bob Marley and his resting place an experience to share with relative and friend back home... now your tour as ended your driver will safely take you back to your Hotel or cruise ship port.

What an amazing experience! Winston picked us up at 9am and we set off to 9 mile. On the way we passed through Browns Town and Alexandra, which were villages where the local communities live. Winston is a very friendly and knowledgeable guy who made our trip feel a lot quicker than it was. He explained to us that he wanted us to feel like family by the end of the trip and we really did. After the lovely drive through the villages and countryside we got to 9 mile. The guide we had was so fun and made us laugh so much. There is lots to see when you are there with plenty of memorabilia of Bob Marley and his family. Halfway through the tour there is a band that will sing some Bob Marley songs and they were really good, so you can have a dance and sing the songs in the sun. After this you will see where Bob lived and then visit his resting place. It was a nice spiritual feeling and to visit here if you’re a Bob Marley fan is a must. We left 9 mile feeling really good and Winston was waiting to bring us back as soon as we came out. I would recommend using Winston as your driver if you are planning on any trips whilst you are in Jamaica. Winston will make your day fun and take you anywhere you want to go. We also had the minibus to ourselves so it was a very personal trip. We had a really amazing day and I hope to be able to see Winston again one day to take us on another trip. One love.I3967SZlorit

What an amazing time we had!! Winston our tour guide was right on time, picked us up from our hotel. He explained the process and reassured us we can do and go anywhere we would like. We decided to go to Bob Marley’s birth and resting place. The drive up the mountain was breath taking, seeing the natural beauty of this island and seeing how the local people live was different then just staying on the resort. As we drive, Winston pointed out all the unique areas and local fruits we even stopped at a fruit stand and had sugar cane, it was my daughters first time eating sugar cane and WOW is was delicious. Once we got to 9 Mile, Winston explained what to expect, the tour itself was great, filled with lots of laughter, they had live music, some of Bob Marley’s greatest hits and even jerk chicken if you wanted to eat. Although it is Bob Marley’s resting place, it was full of love and beauty. The tour was about 45mins to an hour but it didn’t feel rushed or forced. My daughters 17 and 12 years old was very much into it. The ride back to the hotel was easy, at this point Winston felt like family. We stopped at Scotchies for some jerk chicken and jerk pork, and we were not disappointed, Delicious!!. Winston was amazing and I would recommend his tour a hundred percent!! I had a wonderful time visiting the 9 mile Bob Marley Birth and Resting Place. Our tour guide/driver Winston was amazing he was very pleasant and answered our questions thoroughly. He was very excited to educate us on his culture and even went above and beyond to get us coconuts and authentic Jamaican fish for the drive back to our hotels. At Bob Marley Birth and Resting Place I was able to explore his childhood home and learn more about his roots and upbringing. The best part was the band that sang his legendary hits beautifully and the bartender that provided us with a drink that was lit on fire. Overall I had a great time!JamellWhite

This was a great experience! Learning about Bob Marley’s life and seeing his resting place was just highlights to my trip. Overall, very informative! Our driver Winston was amazing as he safely got us to and from our destination while giving us facts along the way!
