Belém Tower, officially Torre de São Vicente, is a fortification located in the parish of Belém, municipality and district of Lisbon, in Portugal. On the right bank of the Tagus River, where Belém beach once existed, it was originally surrounded by water all around its perimeter. Over the centuries it was surrounded by the beach, until today the mainland was incorporated. One of the ex libris of the city, the monument is an icon of the architecture of the reign of King Manuel I, in a synthesis between the keep of medieval tradition and the modern bastion, where artillery pieces were arranged.

The Jeronimos Monastery or Monastery of Santa Maria de Belem is a Portuguese monastery of the Order of St. Jerome built in the 16th century. It is located in the parish of Belém, in the city and municipality of Lisbon. It has, since 2016, the status of National Pantheon.

São Jorge Castle is located in the parish of Santa Maria Maior (Castle), in the city and municipality of Lisbon, in Portugal. The first fortresses of the castle date from the 1st century BC, having been rebuilt several times by various peoples and given different names. The present name derives from the devotion of the castle to Saint George, patron saint of knights and crusades, made by order of D. João I in the fourteenth century.

Bruno arrived early to pick us up in the port. He had a comfortable station wagon that was able to take our oversized walker in the back. Born and educated in Lisbon, he was delighted to show off his city. He spoke excellent English, as promised. He knew the historic monuments, the best place to find delicious "pastelles de nata" - traditional cream pastries. As he drove through the city, he answered questions and pointed out places of interest. If in Lisbon again, we would definitely ask for Bruno.We had a multigenerational group of seven on our trip. Eric made sure that all of our needs were met. He was very flexible and accommodating. As for the sites and locations, they were incredible! We learned a great deal and were excited to see all of the highlights of the city. Thank you!
