My wife and I were one of 3 couples travelling together to experience an adventure in the Porto area. We had just finished (an OK'ish) river cruise up the Douro River and had asked Miguel to "organise" us for 3 day-long outings while we were staying on for a week in Foz. It is rare for us to sit back and relax - knowing that our guide is going to take us to the places that will be of interest for our tastes, and just enjoy the experience - but Miguel aced this for us. We gave him broad brush-strokes of what we wanted (i.e. not Porto, visit small towns in the countryside, a bit of history, typical Portuguese dining, perhaps a winery....), and Miguel did the rest. So, thank-you Miguel - I really don't need to add anything more to the glowing reviews you've garnered from your previous guests. Do remember to cut out a bit of time for yourself and smell the roses.....Went with CM Tours. Susana was our driver and guide for a small group of 8. An excellent day. A beautiful valley that is now easily accessed on great roads. The wineries, food and wine were top class. Well worth doing

It’s only fitting that my first review in Portugal go to the most deserving. I have friends who I have travelled with before who used Oporto so naturally, with their recommendation I contacted Jennifer. What started out as a Douro tour ended up with our group of 6 having the pleasure of Miguel’s company for 5 days which included airport pickup and then a food tour of Porto, wonderful Duoro wine tour where we were dropped off for two nites in Pinhao, a day tour from Porto, transfer from Pinhao to Lisbon with a tour of Tomar and finally a Sintra tour. This all started out just looking at a wine tour. Jennifer was easy to deal with and willing to customize the tours to your liking. Miguel is a great travel companion leaving virtually no stone unturned. We have used many tour guides the world over and Miguel is in the top 2 so no hesitation recommending Oporto Shore ToursWe traveled to Porto with another couple for 3 days before taking a trans-Atlantic cruise from Lisbon. We traveled to Porto with another couple for 3 days before taking a trans-Atlantic cruise from Lisbon. We had arranged beforehand to have private tours through Oporto Shore Tours. Our guide for all three days was the wonderful Orquidea. Our first day in Porto City was unfortunately cold and very rainy but Orquidea did a great job of showing us the city highlights and then arranging for a couple of informative port tastings. Day two was our Douro Valley Wine Experience and it was fabulous. We saw amazing scenery, tasted great port, had a delicious lunch and then a great boat trip on the river. Orquidea was also our driver and guide for our trip back to Lisbon with fun stops in Aviero and Obidos. The entire trip was extremely well organized and executed perfectly - cannot recommend this company more highly!!!!We were a party of five - my husband & I, our adult daughter and our adult son with his girlfriend. Jennifer helped us coordinate all the details of our day (pickup time, best fit for us for lunch, wineries to visit, etc). She was great! Awesome fast follow-up on the emails. Jennifer helped us coordinate all the details of our day (pickup time, best fit for us for lunch, wineries to visit, etc). She was great! Awesome fast follow-up on the emails. Miguel is a top notch professional, very knowledgeable, super friendly and a great driver. The Douro Valley is breathtakingly beautiful. We visited Quinta do Crasto & Quinta do Vallado and had a fantastic lunch at Aneto & Table. Miguel was terrific about taking pictures of our group and stopping at all the most picturesque sites for the best backdrops. A most memorable day! Thank you Miguel!
