Want to learn about the making of tequila all in a fun, private, comfortable, non-rushed trip ? Well you don’t have to look else where you are in the right place, we made a day trip for those who want to learn more about the birthplace of this agave spirit and who want to experience this just as a local. To make sure of this we selected non-commercial distilleries and made this a private experience which means no more waiting for the rest of the group you get personalized attention, flexibility and schedule that meets your needs.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Tequila Cascahuin, Ferrocarril 140, El Arenal 45350 Mexico
We will tour a family-owned distillery that has been in operation since 1954 and is currently run by the fourth generation. We will gain insight into the entire process of tequila production, from planting the seeds to bottling the final product and will have the opportunity to sample their premium tequilas.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: El Arenal, El Arenal
During our tour, we will make a stop at the agave fields to have a closer look at the plantations and take in the picturesque landscape, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage site. Additionally you will have the chance to take photos to capture this unique experience.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Amatitan, Amatitan
We will also visit a second, family-owned distillery that produces tequila using traditional methods. There, we will have the opportunity to compare and contrast the methods used at the first distillery, and you'll get to taste a selection of their unique, boutique tequilas.

We will journey to the heart of tequila country, taking a leisurely stroll through the downtown area to take in the main attractions and opportunities for memorable photos.

We will enjoy a delicious lunch in Tequila Town, where you will have the chance to taste authentic Mexican cuisine, including the renowned flavors of Jalisco's gastronomy. Mexico's culinary heritage is widely considered among the best in the world.

We will savor a well-known regional cocktail, the "Cantarito", and you will also have the chance to browse and purchase any souvenirs at a local gift shop.

We had a great day with Jessie, our guide, who showed us all the details how tequila is made, we got to taste cooked agave with him and he adjusted the agenda to our speed. The day flew by and we definitely recommend taking a tour with him!

We joined Jessie’s tour to get a real cultural immersion into the world of Tequila and it exceeded all expectations. Jessie has been running tours around Tequila for a number of years and this shows through his in depth knowledge and strong relationships with the distilleries. We were taken to a number of different distilleries which used a variety of production methods. Jessie took the time to explain the subtle differences in production before we got to try a large selection of tequilas from each distillery. The stop in Tequila for food and a traditional cantarito cocktail was a great way to end the tour before heading back into Guadalajara. Jessie is so incredibly passionate about Tequila and does a fantastic job of passing on this passion and knowledge through his tour. I can’t recommend enough!
