I booked three activities with SPI - the first was the Sunset Cruise. The week we stayed at South Padre (mid April) the sky was often cloudy and foggy. When we checked in for the sunset cruise, I wondered what we would do since there was no chance of a visible sunset. Our captain, Brady, knew exactly what to do. He asked us what we enjoyed doing at South Padre - and we answered “checking out the birds”. So Brady organized a replacement activity for the missing sunset “on the fly”. He took us to Bird Island - a bird-only venue inaccessible by land. There we saw flocks of cormorants, herons and roseate spoonbills from our boat as he slowly circled the island. Amazing - and we didn’t even know it existed. Brady also found a pod of dolphins that we watched for awhile. It was a much better outcome than watching a sunset. Brady was a terrific captain for our little adventure. Along the way he explained features about the island, lagoon and their history. Very knowledgeable and personable young man. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Brady and SPI.The boat captain Brady is a great guy. It was a somber moment but I know everyone did enjoy it. Saw multiple dolphins and being a smaller boat gave us a personal experience. WE WILL BE BACK!!

WE WILL BE BACK!!Our captain Brady did a great job but we were told we would be on a newer boat with a bathroom. You put 50+ aged people on a boat the bathroom is a huge part of the sell.

The sunset was so beautiful. He provide many helpful suggestions for the remainder of our trip. Family owned business with a great staff, food was good and atmosphere wonderful.
