What to expect

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Front de Mer, 17200 Royan, France

The Royan waterfront is a modernist architectural ensemble located in the town of Royan, in the Charente-Maritime department. Characteristic of the first wave of reconstruction of the city in the immediate post-war period, it is still tinged with a certain academicism.

Pass By: Plage de la Grande Conche, Royan France

Grande-Conche beach is a fine sandy beach located in the towns of Royan and Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, in Charente-Maritime, on the right bank of the mouth of the Gironde estuary, immediate proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. About 2, 600 meters long, it is lined with extremely fine sand, around 180 µm. Its formation seems to have taken place around 8, 000 years ago.

Pass By: Rue du Port, 17110 Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, France

The port of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne is located in the northern part of the town, at the bottom of a small natural cove south of the tip of Vallières materialized by the dyke and the rocky bank of La Béchade.
A small marina overlooking the mouth of the Gironde, it is linked to the town center by a footpath and by the rue du port (access from the boulevard de la côte de Beauté). A small car park has been set up near the lighthouse.
With a capacity of only 74 rings, it cannot accommodate vessels over seven meters. Boats can access it between three hours before high tide and three hours after high tide.
The port is dominated by the silhouette of the lighthouse of Vallières, built in 1900. Now extinct, it can be visited in season (July and August).

Pass By: Phare de Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, 96 Rue du Port, 17110 Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, France

The Vallières lighthouse is the name of the Saint-Georges-de-Didonne lighthouse.
Built between 1898 and 1902, it overlooks the port and the Gironde estuary from the top of the Vallières cliff, one of the two capes delimiting the Conche de Saint-Georges, the town's main beach.
The lighthouse is the subject of a registration as a historical monument since May 23, 2011 for its outbuildings and a classification on October 23, 2012 for the lighthouse.

Pass By: Plage Saint Georges de Didonne, 55 Bd de la Côté de Beauté, 17110 Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, France

The conche de Saint-Georges, entirely covered with extremely fine blond sand, is the main beach of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne.
Organized around a bay overlooking the mouth of the Gironde estuary, and beyond, the Atlantic Ocean, facing the Pointe de Grave and the coasts of the Médoc, it is "marked" by two rocky outcrops made up of limestone cliffs: the tip of Suzac, to the south (site protected by the coastal conservatory), and the tip of Vallières, to the north, more urbanized, bearing the lighthouse of the same name, "emblem" of the city.
More than three kilometers long, it is the largest intramural beach in the department. Frequented by tens of thousands of holidaymakers in summer, it has a nautical base which allows you to practice sailing, windsurfing or even stand up paddle. The beach is used out of season by sand yachting enthusiasts.
