Our driver was prompt and courteous in delivering us from the ferry terminal in Red Hook to the airport, but he was sick with a bad cold, kept coughing, blowing his nose in a very used tissue and spitting out the window. We went straight in the airport and washed our hands, but today one of three of us traveling is sick. When employees dealing with the public are sick they need to stay home!After packing into an island taxi (read: large van) with numerous strangers all going to different destinations all over the island last year, this year we booked a private ride from the airport to our resort (and back again) with Mr. Nice Guy limo service and let me tell you - IT WAS SO WORTH IT...
After packing into an island taxi (read: large van) with numerous strangers all going to different destinations all over the island last year, this year we booked a private ride from the airport to our resort (and back again) with Mr. Nice Guy limo service and let me tell you - IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!! Island taxis are cheaper, but after being packed in with strangers shoulder-to-shoulder on an airplane for hours, I was more than ready to have some personal space. Our driver was fantastic - he was very communicative - making sure to arrive at the airport right on time despite our flight being somewhat delayed, and he was easy to find when we picked up our bags. It was SO much faster to just get in the car and go instead of waiting in the taxi lines and going straight to our resort instead of stopping all over the island to let other passengers out meant our vacation started right away too! The car was clean and very comfortable, our driver was properly masked and offered hand sanitizer and cold water, both of which were appreciated. It was a pleasant drive to the hotel and he made quick work of loading and unloading our luggage so we were on our way to the beach in no time! We had the same driver for our trip back to the airport and he was right on time and again, very pleasant, friendly, and professional. The car was clean the driver was friendly and easy to find when leaving baggage claim, and they even worked with us on our arrival time as our inbound flight was significantly delayed. Using Mr. Nice Guy was well worth the expense, and we'd definitely use them for future visits. Arranged Mr Nice Guy for a short transfer from the airport to Crown Bay Marina so we'd be able to make the ferry to St John. Our driver arrived early to the airport and we found him easily after exiting baggage claim. Its great to have a private experience with a nice sedan and no waiting for other passengers to fill up a public taxi. On the return, our driver was again waiting for us when we arrived and we were off in no time. Definitely will look up again when on St Thomas again!
