We could not be happier that we chose Greeking.me for our Private Tour of the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. They were so easy to work with, and could be counted on to respond quickly to any questions or concerns we had regarding our tour. Our tour guide Ilias was outstanding!! He made the tour so interesting with his abundance of knowledge, as well as relaxing, by the way he so perfectly paced the tour. And always kept us out of the sun, and away from the noise of the crowds, whenever he could. He even gave us a restaurant recommendation for lunch (Ella), which was also outstanding! We HIGHLY recommend Greeking.me for your next tour in Greece! We requested Eva as our tour guide for our Acropolis/Museum Tour based on reviews and her credentials. She did not disappoint! We requested Eva as our tour guide for our Acropolis/Museum Tour based on reviews and her credentials. She did not disappoint! It was like meeting family for the first time in Athens. Eva picked us up on foot at our AirBnB and greeted us very warmly with big hugs!! I’m a hugger too:) From there we were off! En route we passed several historical monuments and churches which Eva gave us a brief historical overview of each. She also answered questions we had about what we saw on the way to the Acropolis. It was like the tour before the tour! The hike to the Acropolis was a little challenging for me at times. Eva sensed this and took breaks whenever I felt winded. Thank you Eva for being so attentive. At arrival, we took another rest stop at the Odeon of Herod Atticus and sat on an huge rock under a tree. There Eva gave us a comprehensive Greek historical overview of Ancient Athens including key events and figures relating to politics, culture, art, science, philosophy and religion. It was here we learned why Athens is named the birthplace of democracy! When we left the Odeon to reach the Parthenon, the overview Eva provided all came together with the mythology stories about each temple. Her stories were engaging and humorous. The iPad's 3-D exterior/interior views of the temples reconstructed on the Hill was a great addition to help us see how everything looked when it was initially built! Interestingly, the temples were not all white marble as seen today, but some had color in their frescoes and metropes. Also Eva knew all the best spots and angles for the perfect pictures at each temple and other locations on the hill. She took the BEST photos of us! We even all took a selfie together at the Acropolis Museum. I was so happy to start the tour at 8am, as we left around 10 am the crowds were dense. And we were off to the museum! It was really good to have a tour guide at the museum to point out the highlights and history. Eva did an excellent job of relating what we saw at the Acropolis of Athens to the Museum and then some! She even made an excellent restaurant recommendation near the Museum for lunch that we loved! Thank you Eva for customizing our tour to our themes of interest and giving us the perfect tour! Thanks to the Greeking.me team for the excellent customer service. I worked primarily with Katerina R. and Zoi. They both responded in a timely manner and were very resourceful. Will definitely recommend Greeking.me to friends and family visiting Greece. Our guide (Joanna) was amazing! She was so interesting, enthusiastic, and gracious. She knew more about Greek mythology and archeology than we could ever ask about and patiently answered all our questions. What a great day! (Note: the walk up to the Acropolis is very taxing in the heat.)

We very much enjoyed our tour with Christos! We weren't very up on our mythology, but he patiently taught us everything we needed to know to understand and appreciate the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. He did a great job of finding the little shade there is for us to stand in while he explained what we were seeing and it's historical context. We were very impressed with the Acropolis museum. It is a really well conceived facility that we enjoyed a lot especially with Christos' explanations. Highly recommend this tour!
