Waves of turquoise blue water gently wash the golden beaches of Gimsøya island. The water here can be a brilliant color on a calm summer day, so you could quickly think you're someplace a bit more tropical – until you dare to go for a swim!
Another highly rated thing to da at Gimsøya is Hoven. With a height of only 368 meters and a gentle ascent, it is one of the most accessible 'mountain' hikes on the Lofoten Islands. The summit rewards you with impressive 360° views.

The snowsuits are really warm so we spent most of the time outside enjoying the breathtaking views. The boat was excellent- warm and cosy inside, has three beds and a living room perfect for our group of 10. Bjorn and Epi also made a delicious fish soup to warm us up. Really memorable experience as the beauty of the nature is incredible and the atmosphere is absolutely genuine, great fun with great hosts! THe skipper Jonas is awesome and no matter if you see the northern lights or not they provide anyway an amazing experience and atmosphere.
