Since I landed just a couple of hours before the trip and was a bit tired, I got a very relaxed version of the trip. The statue and the associated museum are quite interesting. Terelj national park is very beautiful. If you have time, you should try some hiking. From the Ariyabal Buddhist meditation center, you have some very beautiful views on the park. During the ascent, I learned some interesting facts about Buddhism. I guess that this is the best private option for this tour you can get. It is quite affordable, too.Byambaa was an excellent guide and communicated well with us before and during our trip. Mongolia is a fascinating country and this day out is a 'must do'.

Then we went to the Terelji National Park and had lunch. After lunch we went further into the park to Turtle Rock and and then to the Aryabal meditation temple. The park scenery round the temple is just stunning and the whole experience walking up to and round the temple was a truly memorable experience. Byamba is knowledgeable guide, a careful driver and a considerate man. It was a great way to experience the countryside outside Ulaanbaatar in a short space space of time.
