Sete Cidades - Lagoa do Fogo and its surroundings will be visited on this tour, on a 4x4 through famous and some hidden gems of the west side of the island.
We will explore more than you can imagine, where are we going, there are no secret roads for us.
All our experiences are made with a lot of safety and fun while visiting unique places inaccessible to most people.
We will tell you stories about the places we're going to, but not the boring ones, only the interesting and funny ones :)
We are real locals, and you definitely will see the island in a different way after our tour, we will show you the Azorean way of life!

A dormant volcano where the famous twin lagoons, in blue and green, rest.

Considered by many locals as the sunniest place on the island, we can see here some unique lava tidal pools, a majestic black sand beach, and some mesmerizing volcanic rock formations.

Some of the most western viewpoints, from here it's possible to see Ferraria and Mosteiros from a unique perspective.

Pedro drove us in his 4x4 car all around the Sete Cidades Lake and the west side of the island, driving over agricultural paths that only locals know. He told us really interesting stories, explained everything in detail, and gave us great recommendations. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, he did his best to ensure that we could see nice views. He even added an extra stop to the tour that was not planned! If you are visiting São Miguel, do not hesitate to contact him!!We had a beautiful day with Pedro. His 4WD vehicle was able to go off road to places we had never seen before. Coincidentally our last guide to the Azores was with his Uncle. Both are awesome. Due to fog we were unable to see the Sete Cicades from offroad but we ended up at the S. Nicolau church ...
We had a beautiful day with Pedro. His 4WD vehicle was able to go off road to places we had never seen before. Coincidentally our last guide to the Azores was with his Uncle. Both are awesome. Due to fog we were unable to see the Sete Cicades from offroad but we ended up at the S. Nicolau church where we walked around the cute town. We then drove to see the green and the blue lake. Pedro shared the folklore of the area. We had a delicious lunch with the best dessert - a queijadas da vila at Restaurante Lagoa Azul. Next stop was Mosteiros and it was lovely. We drove back through pretty towns looking at homes for sale before stopping in a local grocery to try to get more of the delicious desserts to take home. This experience was something I had been looking forward to for a long time and it exceeded my expectations and was the perfect day!Sete Cidadas was exactly what I expected. You have to climb as high as possible to get the entire effect. What was surprising was the South west part or the island. Outcroppings, Lava, shoreline all beautiful.

My husband and I came to the island as part of our honeymoon in Portugal and Pedro blew us away. I contacted him before the trip to share some things I wanted to see and he was very responsive. He had a very well thought out itinerary ready the day of, which took into account both weather and crowds. We got to see all we hoped to see, plus some surprises! His English was excellent and he shared a lot of helpful information as well as answered all our questions. Very highly recommend him! We would use him again on another trip to the Azores.
