Roberto was an excellent guide, he was lively, knew everything about the city, and enthusiastically shared his knowledge. Pedro at Estigo tours was extremely polite and professional. Great communication throughout the entire booking process and the tour. Roberto our guide was amazing. He had such a deep knowledge and passion for the city and it's history that it was infectious. Walking the city, with a knowledgeable guide brought the cities history to life. A statue was no longer just a statue, but a living breathing remnant of the past. Roberto had a tremendous amount of knowledge about not just Guanajuato and it's past, but the entire History of Mexico and it's Independence . We were in Guanajuato for a few days for a wedding and wanted to learn about the local culture. We booked Estigo Tours on a recommendation from the bride and schedule it about a week in advance. Roberto was our guide and he gave us an incredible tour that hit all the highlights! He was very knowledgeable about the area, spoke excellent English and answered all of our questions. Roberto helpfully took photos for us and made local recommendations for restaurants, bars and street food. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Guanajuato! It's especially helpful to go on your first day to help acclimate you to the area for the rest of your trip. Be sure to bring good walking shoes because there is a LOT of walking. The tour takes every minute of the 3 hours it advertises and you are on your feet the whole time. Roberto also suggested we could take the funicular up to Monumento Al Pipila and the best overlook of the city, so bring 30 pesos per person and be sure to ask if you are interested in doing that!
