Would give 10 stars if I could. Booked this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend whose dream it is to one day get his pilot's license. The location was easy to find, parking was footsteps away from the front door and the staff was very professional and courteous from beginning to end. Our Pilot (Andrew) was very knowledgeable, confident in his skills and easy to interact with. Within 5 mins of takeoff my boyfriend had complete control of the aircraft with complete guidance from the pilot and minimal physical assistance. He had the time of his life learning how to maneuver the helicopter and trying his hand at hovering. This was an experience worth having for anyone who wants to know what it feels to fly an aircraft and definitely one for those who are thinking about getting their pilot's license. Did an introductory flight with Wings Air Helicopters in Feb. 2022. It was a wonderful sunny day. I was picked up at Ross Aviation and guided to the already pre-flight checked helicopter. While entering the R44 I have been advised on the steps we will do during the flight. During the start up of the helicopter I have been advised on the procedures and the check list to be performed - checking machine and weather. After take off we started with taking over the controls step by step and after 5 minutes I have taken over the full control of the helicopter and have been flying it all be myself. During flight we performed several special tasks including turns and mid flight hovers. At the end of the hour we returned to the airport and have been even in time to do some low altitude hovers at the airport. This have been great. Overall I have felt very secure with my instructor and the structured approach of the flight made me feel very safe during the full flight. The safe feeling did also let me have a lot of fun during the flight performing all the flight manouveurs. What an experience! So informative and fun. Highly recommend it. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The pilot was super knowledgeable and patient.

Recently my business partner and myself won an auction item at a local nonprofit. It was for an hour lesson and flight. I decided to sit back in the passenger seat and enjoy the view as my friend took the controls of the helicopter. Anthony was the pilot/instructor and he has patience beyond any mere mortal. We purchased an extra half hour of flying time and covered a lot of territory. The fall foliage was amazing from Long Island Sound up to Bear Mountain and West Point down the Hudson River over the Tappan Zee Bridge and returning back to Westchester Airport safe and sound. This is a great trip and recommend it highly..What an amazing adventure. Put this on the bucket list!!!!! West Wing Helicopters was a pleasure to deal with and the instructor was the best. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend this.
