The tour starts in front of the Meiji shrine. We then would admire Tokyo's most impressive landmarks Yoyogi gymnasium by Kenzo Tange from the distance. We will stop by at the contemporary and unique fashion boutique architecture such as The Iceberg, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tod's, Sunny hills and Prada.

Yoshi was professional with a lovely style: very informative and welcomed questions. This was a highlight for us on our trip to Tokyo. The pace was comfortable. Very highly recommend. I work in the travel business and have been fortunate enough to experience some wonderful boutique tours, this ticked all the boxes! He also took some wonderful photos of myself and my son -lovely memories. Thank you Yoshi! Our small group of 4, spent 3 days with Yuka on a moist enjoyable series of day trips. Our small group of 4, spent 3 days with Yuka on a moist enjoyable series of day trips. Her knowledge of Japan, history, customs and its buildings was wonderful. We left the detail to her and visited places in both Yokohama, Tokyo and Kamakura. Her insight greatly enhanced our stay and with her guidance we were able to use the buses, trains and subways. Tours were ideally suited to our interests and requirements. Each day she met us in our hotel and guided us both near and far. We really enjoyed our trips, plus she was able to take us to some great local restaurants for welcome stops. Tour prices were very reasonable and Yuka was a great asset to our stay. Thank you so much, and cannot recommend enoughWe spent our tour walking around with Yoko - who was not only very knowledgeable and passionate about architecture, but was also wonderful to spend a lot of time with. We spent our tour walking around with Yoko - who was not only very knowledgeable and passionate about architecture, but was also wonderful to spend a lot of time with. We were able to ask lots of questions, about architecture and the buildings we were seeing, to other questions that came to mind about Japanese culture, fashion, happenings, and had a great time chatting and walking through the afternoon. Even though it was the middle of a heatwave in Tokyo, we had a great time talking around, and Yoko was thoughtful in providing a mix during our tour so that we both got to see a lot of famous buildings, as well as some hidden art and architectural gems in places we would not have known to look. As others have mentioned, our guide also had some before and after pictures of some of the locations we went to, which was surprisingly illuminating to understanding some aspects of changes that have happened recently. Yoko and the other guides are all trained to provide this tour, and learning from her and sharing in her knowledge on our first day in Tokyo was a fantastic way to kick off our trip - already we are appreciating so much more as we walk around the city! This was the first tour we took on our visit to Japan and it really helped orient us to the history, culture and etiquette. This was the first tour we took on our visit to Japan and it really helped orient us to the history, culture and etiquette. As a private tour, our guide, Junko, welcomed our little detours for things we were interested in. She tailored her explanations to our level of knowledge and interest in architecture very well. It felt like a very knowledgeable friend showing us around. Junko went above and beyond by helping us navigate the subway to our next destination. Junko was an excellent guide and and very nice person. I highly recommend this.I spent my time with Kayuki-san who had an excellent itinerary. I spent my time with Kayuki-san who had an excellent itinerary. She included more than 20 buildings that ranged from the glitzy Pritzker Prize winners to curious little shops. She pointed out older buildings that were innovative when built and details that can be overlooked. As we strolled along, her binder included before and after pictures of some areas so one got a sense of the transformation of this dynamic city. Her English is excellent. Walking with us was Yasuo Nakamura, a professional architect who is training to guide in his retirement so I can vouch that the guides are trained and knowledgeable. Our guide Yuki gave us a great tour! She knows great spots and a lot about architects like Tadao Ando and other Pritzker Prize Winners and she is fun to hang out with. She took nice pictures of us and mailed those as well as the recap/ information she gave during the tour. Subarashi!
