Stop At: Sanctuaire Notre Dame de Lourdes, 1 avenue Monseigneur theas, 65108, Lourdes France
A tour that will take you to the world-famous grotto where the Virgin Lady appeared in 1858, and help you to understand from a cultural and historical point of view, the unique story of Bernadette Soubirous. We will then proceed to the different basilicas and to the fountains where you can fetch the holy water.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Moulin de Boly - Maison Natale de Bernadette, 12 rue Bernadette Soubirous, 65100, Lourdes France
Entering the house where Bernadette was born, we will try to imagine what was the childhood of the Saint.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Le Cachot, 15 rue des Petits Fosses, 65100, Lourdes France
The place where the Soubirous family was living at the time of the apparitions in 1858. .
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Chateau Fort of Lourdes, 25 rue du Fort, 65100, Lourdes France
Regarding the second half of our discovery, the guide will suggest 2 options :
Option 1 : we will explore the upper part of the town and try to imagine how Lourdes was before the apparitions. We will then visit the medieval castle (Chateau Fort Musée Pyrénéen) and discover its charming little museum dedicated to the arts and traditions of the Pyrenees. The view from the castle towards the sanctuaries and the city is spectacular!

Regarding the second half of our discovery, the guide will suggest 2 options :
Option 2 : Spending more time on the sanctuaries to visit the basilicas + Visit of the Father's house (house that still belongs to the descendents of the Soubirous family).

2019年5月、3泊の予定で一人ルルドからトレッキングをしながら世界遺産のガヴァルニー圏谷を目指していました。そして4日目に、ガヴァルニー滝やスペイン橋、コートレの町等をロアさんにガイドを頼んでいました。 しかし二日目の午後、滑落というアクシデントに遭遇し、ルルド病院のERに運ばれてしまいました。手術(額を二ヵ所縫う)&入院を余儀なくされ、慌ててDr.からロアさんに連絡を取ってもらいました。 翌日にはもうロアさんが病室に来てくれて、日本の保険会社と病院の間に入って退院の手続きをしてくれたり、泊る予定だった２軒のホテルのキャンセル等、フランス語はできないのはもちろん、英語ももどかしかった私...

昨年10月に日本から友人夫妻を迎え初めてルルドを訪問しました。友人夫妻は小さい頃から洗礼を受けている敬虔なクリスチャンで、ルルド訪問は長年の夢でした。見ていました。私は長くフランスに住んでいますが、ルルドのことも宗教も知識がなかったので、最初は日本人のガイドにお願いしたいと思い、ルルド観光局から紹介していただいたのがフランス人ガイドのロールさんでした。事前にメイルで念入りに打ち合わせをしましたが、その際の誠実な対応にまずは驚きました。 日本在住経験もあり、こちらのリクエストをよく聞いていただき細やかなアドバイスをいただきました。おかげで実質1日半の滞在でしたが、初日にロザリオ行列、沐浴、...

ルルドの聖域や街の案内を日本語でしてもらえます。特に聖域はとても広く、キリスト教に関する知識が乏しくてもわかりやすく説明してもらえます。とても親切で協力的なガイドのロアさん。ルルドに行かれる際はとってもお勧めです！

Laure is an excellent, knowledgeable tour guide who is a local resident of Lourdes. At the beginning of the tour she asked if we had ever been to Lourdes before and customized the tour based on what we were most interested in seeing. She covered all aspects of the pilgrimage site-the basilica, the tradition of lighting candles, the healing baths, the grotto etc. We then followed the blue line through the town of Lourdes which led us to the home of St. Bernadette, the milk where her father worked, and the castle of Lourdes. Laure gave full explanations of the history of Lourdes, the layout of the town, the purpose of the castle and its interior rooms and displays. Look no further if you’re considering a tour when you visit Lourdes!
