What to expect
We meet our adventurers in our authentic Mongolian Yurt warmed by a cozy wood stove. Once geared up for the elements, step outside to meet each canine team member on the team and learn about their unique personalities! Once the team is ready to go we hit the trail that leads us onto the famous Yukon Quest 1, 000-mile race trail. Mush through a winter wonderland amongst snow capped black spruce and vibrant winter sunrises and sunsets. At the half-way point we stop on a quiet frozen pond for a beautiful arctic landscape photo op. Step out of the sled, steal frosty whiskered kisses and get pictures with your adventure crew and dog team. Finally, we mush back to the Mongolian yurt to warm up and say our good byes. TRAIL MILEAGE: 7 miles; TRAIL TIME: 45 - 55 Minutes.

Tucked away in the Alaska wilderness is the Last Frontier Mushing Co-op. We had a blast with the tour and the guides were knowledgeable, considerate and truly made this an exciting outing. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a dog sledding adventure!

If you are wanting to do a dog mushing day in the Fairbanks area, I and my family highly recommend Last Frontier Mushing Co-op. The dogs were great with adults and kids. Both guides, Laura and Chase, did a phenomenal job. Laura and Chase looked at our gear we had on an highly suggested to wear other boots that they had, to be sure to stay warm. Glad they did now that we understand what they were saying. Kids enjoyed it so much we thought hard about booking this one more time before we leave.Seeing the dogs and their ability is amazing. The ride is a great experience through nature - it would be even more enjoyable if the trail was smoother. The extremely bumpy ride took some of the fun out.

We were looking for an authentic dog sledding experience and definitely got that with Chase and his team. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Chase and each one of his team. The ride was great. Beautiful Alaskan back woods trail. We saw a huge moose. Chase as a great guide with tons of great information and experiences. We are honored to have a Yukon Quest finisher and his team take us for a sled. Thanks Chase. Obviously I highly recommend.
