Our tour guide Diego treated us to a wonderful experience! Especially loved him walking us through the Diego Rivera museum. He was very knowledgeable about art, history, architecture, food ... you name it! A wealth of interesting information. One can tell that Diego loves his calling which is being an excellent tour guide. We also enjoyed amazing street food from vendors that he knew & he took us to one of his favorite restaurants which served us a delicious lunch. He lives in San Miguel, grew up in Mexico City, knows his history and art, his recommendations of indigenous artisans and restaurants were spot on (and he doesn’t get a kickback), his English is impeccable, his enthusiasm boundless. Can't say enough about how great the store was.The day couldn't have been better! Israel's breadth of knowledge of Mexican history, art, culture, food, mescal was outstanding.
