Kostos is an amazing guide and this was a tour of a lifetime. I knew things were going to be a little different when cheese sticks appeared and individual pots of honey - this was just one of the many unexpected treats that Kostas served us during the day. Unfortunately, my niece put some cheese in her bag to nibble on later and discovered it three days later - melted - a fragrant and sticky reminder of an unforgettable experience. Kostas' knowledge is amazing and I was fascinated by what told us about the places we visited above and beyond what you will find in local guidebooks. He did get fully immersed in the tour and when he showed us a village in the mountains and where the locals used to do their laundry and refrigerate their food as the water was so icy - he started to slip. He tried to stay upright but it was not to be and he ended up with wet, icy cold, trousers. This did not in anyway dampen his enthusiasm or ours and we continued on to the Cave of Zeus where Kostas find a sunny spot to dry off and we explored the amazing caves. Knosos was interesting but the cave was incredible. My sister cheated by travelling up the hillside on a donkey but this just added to our amusement and is worth doing if you don't like climbing. After a fantastic lunch we continued the tour and sampling the local produce. Thank you so much Kostos for a wonderful day.LillianVS17

Our tour was a wonderful experience. Kostas is engaging, very well-read and a charming and wonderful storyteller. His vehicle is in excellent condition and is luxurious, and he had a perfect car seat for our two year old. He gave us a great introduction to Knossos, then took us through breathtakingly beautiful countryside, our kids played at a beautiful 2400 year old tree, arranged for our small kids to ride a donkey up a cobblestoned hill to the cave of Zeus which was beautiful and then took us to have the best meal of our trip with a scenic vista of the Lasithi plateau and gorgeous views of the windmills. The day was very smooth. Throughout the trip, he surprised us with delicious treats made by his family. He also did a great job tailoring timing and the events to our kids (2 and 6 yo) who adored his sense of humor and ability to play at their levels. This also gave us as the parents time to catch our breath and watch our kids play with delight. While he played wonderfully with our happy kids, he also shared interesting historical and cultural information with parents and we would absolutely recommend the experience to anyone. We hope to come back and would definitely choose tours with Kostas again.Escape55815645664

Beyond my expectations! This tour was the highlight of my visit to Crete along with my family. I read the other reviews and can confirm that they are accurate. You won’t be disappointed. Kostas entertained and looked after us all for the whole day and took as to some of the most interesting and beautiful locations in Crete. He was happy to adapt the tour as we ent along and was very flexible. This was great value for money and I would definitely recommend it to all visitors.gabrielah527

We had an amazing experience in Crete with Kostas. Despite inclement weather up in the mountains, which cut our trip short, Kostas found a way to make our Crete time there a most pleasant one! Knossos Palace was a surprising experience and our guide, Thalia, was the sweetest and most knowlegable! Kostas also provided us with some delicious typical Cretan delicacies which made the trip very special. Highly recommend working with Kostas and his team! Excellent. This was a fabulous tour! Kostas was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Not only did we see the sites as promised in the description, but he went far beyond our expectations. We were also introduced to some fantastic local foods and great restaurants. Highly recommend!!
