While the other tours keep you away from formations such as crevasses and moulins, here it is our aim to go and check them out. In order to achieve this we will use ropes to put you on the edge! These formations can be awe-inspiring and formidable, but our expert guides will ensure your safety and enjoyment.

Our expert guides will teach you how to use the ropes and the technical gear. This tour can be extremely challenging or easy enough, we will adapt the difficulty according to your level. Since this is a private tour the pace of the hike through the glacier is matched to everybody's abilities and fitness. This remarkable experience will be something you will never forget.
We provide all the safety gear necessary: crampons, harnesses, helmets, ice axes, and hiking poles.
We encourage our guests to bring worn-in hiking boots, gloves, and insulating and waterproof layers. The weather is usually not working in our favor in Iceland, wind and precipitation can be expected some days.

During the experience, we were allowed to try out ice climbing, which was both terrifying and a lot of fun. The glacier itself looks gorgeous, and it hosts a collection of different ice caves and crevices that look absolutely fantastic, in addition to the magnificent view of the valley itself. We had an amazing time at the glacier, and managed to traverse through difficult paths, visiting ice cave and do ice climbing, all packed in five hours. Our group was five guys from Finland looking for adventure. Guide managed to adjust the trip to fit our wishes. Jökull put the safety first with flexibility to try various things. I remember his first comment how he was excited and waiting for our trip! You see it through when someone is passioned about what he is doing. He assessed our ice climbing experience ( none ) and athleticism ( debatable ) and taught us the basics then took us down a crevasse , into an ice cave , down a tunnel of ice and taught us how to dam and drink glacier melt. He explained how a glacier moves , how trolls of volcanic ash form and how the caves form . He was very patient and kind and made it adventurous while being very safety conscious . An absolute blast !!
