We spent the day with Cecilia tasting cheese, balsamic, prosciutto and wine. A memorable day and had our 15 year old twins engaged the whole time. From the outset, Cecilia was extremely responsive to what we wanted to do and arranged an itinerary that was full but manageable in a day. She also organises a private van to collect us from our resort, which was out of the way. The private tour was a great way to visit smaller artisanal food makers and ask questions. We found the places we visited were extremely hospitable and happy to engage and answer questions. All were small scale but very high quality and multi generational producers - just a great experience. The day was topped off with wine tasting and a traditional lunch at a winery in the region. We hadn’t had great experiences with “Lambrusco” and “Spumante” in the past but they were versions sent to Australia. Trying the modern interpretations was a great opportunity and we ended up taking a few bottles away fro the rest of the holiday. Overall a very memorable day. Massive thanks to Cecilia who is a knowledgeable and thoughtful guide. Highly recommended!!We could not recommend Cecilia highly enough. We did a tour as a group of 4, visiting the Ferrari museum in Maranello, as well as parmesan and balsamic manufacturers. We could not recommend Cecilia highly enough. We did a tour as a group of 4, visiting the Ferrari museum in Maranello, as well as parmesan and balsamic manufacturers. We spent the day being driven in style from location to location and hearing brilliant local knowledge about this beautiful area of Italy. Cecilia's tours make you feel like a real VIP and we will definitely be using her again when we are next in Emilia Romagna. Cecelia picked us up at our hotel in Lucca and drove us to Bologna where we spent 5 days touring with her. We saw a man who makes wonderful gelato and had a good time tasting one morning. We also went to both Parma and Modena and toured a Balsamic Vinegar place, a Parmesan cheese dairy, a Lambrusco winery and a olace where they make and age prosciutto ham. She is personable, knowledgeable and taught us a good deal about the food and the country. At the end of our time with her she put us on a train to Venice where we were met by a colleague of hers! I would highly recommend her.We spent 2 days with Cecilia eating Emilia-Romagna. Cecilia had a great itinerary for us around Modena and in Bologna. We spent 2 days with Cecilia eating Emilia-Romagna. Cecilia had a great itinerary for us around Modena and in Bologna. She picked us up in Modena, took us on private tours of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese manufacturing, traditional balsamic vinegar producer and a great pasta cooking class with Barbara and Monica at a vineyard. Unbelievable Day 1. Day 2 in Bologna amazing. Great food in the market. Beautiful walking city with great sites and great shopping. She also pointed us in all the right directions for our day in Parma with a great restaurant recommendation. Cecilia is warm, knowledgeable and knows this territory very well. The stops she takes you to are all small, private and fun!We were so excited to find Cecilia's tour through trip advisor, it was exactly what we were looking for. We were so excited for our tour with Cecilia! From our first email I could tell she was very kind and attentive. She was open to all of our requests which were exploring things outside of Bologna and natural wine tours. Sadly we had to cancel our tour the day before because my husband and I both tested positive for Covid. It was heartbreaking to have happen while on our honeymoon in Italy. Cecilia was very understanding. We cannot wait to come back to Italy when Covid is over so we can have our dream your with Cecilia!
