Stop At: Abu Simbel Temple Complex, Abu Simbel, Abu Simbel Egypt
At 8:00 am Emo Tours expert Tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle.
The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt.
They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan.

Start and end time were punctual. The guide was friendly with enough knowledge. I did not find any shortcomings.
we went with Mustafa and his driver. They were great. The ride was fast, easy. The excursion was fantastic.
Abu Simbel is amazing. Tour guide was very professional and clear in the explanation.
Car driver was very professional and safe too.
I highly recommend this tour for who would like to visit Abu Simbel in 1 day
I was picked up at my hotel in Aswan and driven down to Abu Simbel (takes about 3hrs). He showed me all of the sights and answered any questions I had. He was very knowledgeable and made the trip very easy. What was really cool, was on the ride you would see actual mirages (just reflection off of the mountains onto the sand, but really weird to see) and he made sure he was pointing them out as we went. Honestly, such a great day! Thank you.
I was able to schedule departure at my convenience. I'm glad I didn't go in the crazy buses that leave at 3-4 AM. The driver and the guide were excellent. It was a long drive from Aswan, but it was worth it. The story about how the temple was moved to its new location was amazing. I had a great time and recommend this tour.
As usual Marwa our confirmation contact for the tour got the pick up time completely wrong. She had us up at 230am and waiting for pick up for 3am. Surprise surprise actual pick up was 4am. So we sat on the roadside like Muppets for over an hour, just like Cairo pyramids tour where after confirming pick at 8am we sat around until 9am. The tour to Abu Simbel was AWESOME. Mary was brilliant, very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. She was an absolute delight and great with our son, thank you so much for a wonderful day. Tom, Liz and Taylor Coomber.
We were picked up on time (5 am) at our cruise ship in Aswan by guide Bessma and her driver and driven for about 3 hours to Abu Simbel. Bessma spoke competent English and was a courteous and knowledgeable guide who answered all our questions. After she gave an explanation of the site, we were given access to the monuments for as much time as we needed. We then returned to Aswan in the afternoon.
This trip cost $160 (plus tips), which was about the same price as a group bus trip would have cost. Trips from Aswan to Abu Simbel by air cost from $315 to $380, but you don't really save much time because of the security checks and pre-flight waiting time at the airports.
The only negative was that upon return to Aswan we were taken to 2 shops (oils and spices) and given sales pitches. The guide probably earns commissions from any sales. If you are not interested in going through this, I would recommend making this clear and requesting that you be taken back directly to your hotel or ship.
We had a very nice guide who explained everything very clearly. She also seemed to know a lot about it. Departure very early was very important because of temperature at the site.
We had an amazing day with our guide ‘Big Mac’, so helpful and friendly as well as very knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. We were picked up on time, the long drive was easy and relaxingand, in Abu Simbel we were given plenty of time to wander around on our own...we throroughly recommend this experience with this particular guide. Great day and wonderful memories.
Abu Simbel is absolutely amazing. The ride was approximately a 3.5 hour drive from my hotel on Elephantine Island and my guide, Rami and my operator, Fath were waiting for me promptly at 4:30 AM. During the drive, Rami gave me a mini-tour providing details of different buildings and areas we had to pass through en route to Abu. Once there, Rami also shared his extensive knowledge of his favorite site. Both Rami and Fath were professional, extremely personable, kind gentlemen. I highly recommend this tour.
Our guide and driver picked us up at the hotel at 4am you may get a later time in the cooler months, but getting to the temple early in the summer will keep you from the afternoon heat. it is about a 3hour drive from Aswan, so be prepared to see the sun coming up over the desert spectacular. Islam our guide was great and explained the temple in great detail. The site is a marvel and you will not be disappointed. After visiting the temples we were escorted back to the hotel. As a side note and this applies to anything you do: take plenty of money for tipping, does not have to be a lot, but tips definitely help the people who work in tourism.
It was so cool to see
I heard and read a lot of bad 'SCAM' experience in Egypt and during recent Europe travel viator was really satisfactory choice. But this time it was So Disappointed One to my family and friends who came to Egypt without using viator laughted us a lot.!!
I booked around 7 tours from viator but the price in logal compare with official website prices of local agencies who guided us was really shocking.. I can not understand the Commission of viator rate!! how it can be happen... Additionally, friends who booked from local hotels and agencies directly had a lot lower prices... I didn't even talk about it.
