TL;DR book this if you want a curated, worry free experience in Delhi that is tailored to your specific interests while also getting additional history and local cultural experience I’m going to do my best to keep this under 2000 words but I am not sure it can accurately reflect our experience. Shehla is truly a star and curates an incredibly thorough, thoughtful and tailored shopping experience. This is perfect for people with a specific plan, solo female travelers, group or couples. I felt completely secure under her expert guidance. Here’s the details: Unlike other tours (I’ve been booking through Viator for over 10 years) the experience with Shehla begins before you even arrive to India. I am a planner and my husband and I are visiting for a wedding and had to purchase 7 total outfits between us. I provided our wedding itinerary and examples from the bride and groom and she immediately began crafting our time together. Over the few weeks between booking and our arrival, she did everything from have us move our time closer to arrival to allow for alterations to checking in on us a week and then again 24 hours before arrival wishing us safe travels. The attention to detail in her hospitality are never spared. Our day consisted of: Our meeting time was 10am and she and her driver partner Tarek picked us up promptly at our hotel. Both provided a consistent amount of historical context to the area between sites. Our first stop was at a Sikh temple where we not only saw this place of worship but got a tour of their kitchen facilities and learned how they feed thousands daily. They offered us delicious chai which we thoroughly enjoyed Then we saw old Delhi, including spice market, tea, jewelry, scarves and additional history of old Delhi and the proprietors in different alleyways. Throughout this time I should mention, Shehla prioritized getting extemporaneous photos and videos of me and my husband which was appreciated because I was totally focused on what was going on around us. This included a rickshaw through old Delhi that she sorted out with ease and expertise. We also ate a few different types of street food, were provided ice cold water, walked to a high vista in old Delhi to get an aerial view and learned about pigeon racing. After this Tarek drove us to New Delhi where we we spent several hours getting our wedding shopping done. This was not a short or surface level experience. Shehla provided guidance on everything from color palette to style and intuitively picked up on my personal tastes from our pre-meeting conversation, what looked good on me in the moment and the weather forecast. I am not kidding when I say this was better than wedding shopping for my own wedding. She is both a host and expert in this area. Of course she assisted in price negotiations, pulling color combinations and generally just super pleasant and kind to spend time with. I don’t even want to think about what it would’ve been like to try and shop without her, I immediately recommended her to other folks traveling to our same wedding party. The cherry on top of all this is she is also arranging for our items to be delivered to our next hotel so we don’t have to carry them during our travels and have time to get things re-altered all of which she arranges with the shops proprietors. My husband also purchased a ‘piece de resistance’ silk rug for our home that will be delivered along with the garments. On our way back to the hotel they drove us by a restaurant which we will certainly return to. Book this tour if you want thoughtful, easy and authentic experience in Delhi. thank you Shehla and Tarek!!Amazing! We did much more than a shopping tour. She accommodated my request for specific items i was looking for and other areas of interest. She was flexible with my schedule and very informative! Pleasure to experience India with her!

A truly amazing tour of New and Old Delhi. Our shopping tour started with a visit to a Sikh temple, which was an unexpected but incredibly beautiful experience. The people at the temple were so warm and hospitable and took every effort to share their culture with us. We then did a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, stopping through local food stalls, spice markets and jewelers shops. Old Delhi is an amazing sight, but something I could have never navigated without the expertise and local knowledge that our guide Shehla was able to provide. The tour ended by going clothing shopping for a wedding, which our guide helped immensely. She not only educated us on the different outfits (or the different wedding events), but actively haggled on our behalf so that we could get the best deal. I would recommend this deal to everyone we stops by in Delhi!Shehla did such an amazing job guiding us through the beautiful busy city that is Delhi. Her knowledge of the city, hospitality, and patience navigating our group through the complexities of the site seeing and shopping was second to none. As a man who is not that keen on shopping, I found it bearable and surprisingly fun. 10 out of 10 would recommend Shehla!Shehla made us feel super safe and comfortable within the craziness of what Delhi offers. Shehla made us feel super safe and comfortable within the craziness of what Delhi offers. We got to experience amazing, first time things that didn’t seem very “touristy” and we were able to be immersed in more local activities! The shopping was great and, from a guys perspective, didn’t overtake the overall experience of what we got. If we need anymore tours Shehla would be my first choice, it was amazing!Had the best time on our tour with Shehla and made some unforgettable memories! Had the best time on our tour with Shehla and made some unforgettable memories! As an American who has never been to India, it gave me so much peace of mind knowing I was with someone who knew the area and the customs. Experiencing Old Delhi was the highlight of my day- Shehla knew just where to take us and we saw some incredible views. I really appreciated that Shehla helped keep us safe, kept our needs in mind and took us everywhere we needed to go, and was able to help us haggle with the locals to make sure we got a fair price. I would highly encourage this tour!!!
