Oh my!!! This tour was amazing and our guide, Carlos, was our best tour guide during our two weeks. Carlos picked us up at our hotel in a nice, very clean van. He explained our itinerary for the day and we saw everything and did not feel rushed at all. Carlos's knowledge of the history of these sites was outstanding. He took us to a nice restaurant for lunch in the small village of Berchtesgaden and we were allowed time for shopping. We choose to do the salt mine tour and we are glad we did. It was so much fun!!! Carlos went over and beyond to make this tour special. I had sent an email prior to us leaving to inform the company that one of our children would turn 18 on the day of the tour just to see if they could do something a little special. Did they ever! Carlos got us access to see the original generator at Eagles Nest and also informed the guide at the salt mine who gave Matt a huge piece of salt. How cool was that? On the way back to the hotel, we were having a side conversation about needing to wash clothes. Carlos overheard us and asked if we had detergent. When we said no, he took us to a local market and walked us in. Once inside, he helped us translate and locate other items we needed. He spent over 30 minutes walking us around the store. Carlos is nothing short of amazing. He makes us want to return to see and hear more about Austria. When we do, we will be sure to use this company and ask for Carlos!
Michael (the guide) was incredible! He was very knowledgable and was able to get us in the front of lines and took us to a wonderful place to eat for lunch. We would recommend this for all that are interested. The time at the Eagle's Nest was short (but enough).

Our guide was simply excellent. Picked us up from the hotel in a new and roomy luxury car, was on time, brought water for us, and knew the area and it’s history. He was familiar with the tourism spot and other tour guides so we had privileged seating and line placement. He made each arrangement for us so that we spent our time touring and not fighting crowds at the ticket booth. Again, simply excellent experience!
Carlos was WONDERFUL! This tour was a highlight of our trip to Salzburg. Carlos did a great job of not only getting us to the Eagles nest, but coordinated other sites we would not have seen if not for him. He managed the trip to engage and entertain our teenage boys. I would do this again ...
