Pawan is one of the best guides I had so far: good English, flexible, a very kind person, humorous, large knowledge of his city and Rajasthan/Indian culture. He knows every corner of his city and takes you to the rooftop of a friend's guesthouse where you have an excellent view of Blue City. He will show you the best place on Mehrangarh Fort to enjoy the sunset while having a beer. Pawan is not only a very experienced guide but a good photographer as well - the pictures he took of me at charming spots are among the best ever. What ever you want to do in Jodhpur, he will make it possible - may that be visiting a special shop (without pressure to buy something!) or the place to be for the most delicous samosas and kachoris or the occasion to dye a scarf in a traditional technique by yourself. Pawan is an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide who’s born and bred in Jodphur. He guided my Mother and I around Jodphur to see how the town really lives. He took us through hidden back streets where you’ll find amazing artisans working and living. We have travelled extensively around the world and Pawan is the best guide we’ve ever had. He’s patient, thoughtful, takes pictures and knows where to get all the best shots and most importantly doesn’t take you on another agenda to commission shops to trap you into buying stuff you didn’t ask for. You tell him what you want and he’ll know the best places. If you’re looking for a trustworthy historian, then look no further. Please don't think of going to Jodhpur without booking a tour with Pawan! He's one of the best tour guides I've ever had. First, he personalized the tour to my liking - starting time, activities (he offered to take me to a polo match), and length. He worked really hard to get me great photos, and also took me to a shop where I got a great deal on some pashmina items. There was no pressure about the buying - at another store he quickly whisked me away the moment I said I wasn't interested. It's definitely helpful to go with him to the blue part of the city, where he's originally from (and which is actually quite peaceful compared to the surrounding areas). He took me to his friend's haveli for an awesome rooftop sunset view of both the fort and the blue houses. There's no way I could've found that on my own. Lastly but not least, Pawan is just a really sweet and genuine person who truly wants to give his guests the best experience possible. I'm really glad I booked his tour instead of trying to do Jodhpur on my own, which would've been totally overwhelming. Highly recommended!Pawan was a fantastic guide! He showed us all the sights, knew all the history, and helped us with some great shopping too! He’s also a great photographer and showed us some good compositions and took couples shots. Learned so much about the everyday life. Learned about cooking.The next day we took a whole day tour in Judhpur with Pawan. He is such a knowledgeable, caring guide.
