Private 1.5 - 2 hour afternoon SUP class for all ages and levels
Overview
This is a private lesson for just you and your friends. You’ll be leaving from our base, where we will take you to the river. It’s for all ages and abilities. Please arrive at our base fifteen minutes before the scheduled lesson start time (we can pick you up from your hotel for a small charge). We’ll talk you through using the board, keeping safe on the river and the basic SUP technique. We’ll show you how to get on and off the board and how to paddle, all on dry land. We’ll then get you onto the river with our instructor and you’ll be standing before you know it. When the lesson and is over, we’ll return you to the base. If you want a more challenging experience choose our 3 hour sunset paddle.

We went as a group of 2 families with no SUP experience at all and started of nervous and wobbly. With Troy and the team’s excellent guidance, support and care, we came away confident, smiling, all able to control our boards pretty well and eager for more SUP! The team made us all feel safe and looked after and were always on hand with tips and teachings to make sure we got the best from the morning. The kids really enjoyed it too and they team helped them along and had ensured they we’re safe and happy. Troy took lots of photos and videos so no need to worry about loosing your phone or camera down the river! Our valuables were taken care of on shore too. Die Tour auf dem Fluss hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht und wir kamen genau pünktlich zur Brücke als ein Zug diese überquerte. Eine Erfahrung die ich nur empfehlen kann und ...

This was an experience not so easily sold to my family. Is it safe? How long will it take? Won’t I get too tired? I’d rather be on a device in the hotel room… there was a fair bit of negativity going into the trip. Within minutes of meeting Troy, he had won us all over. He is easy going and charming, but at the same time strict in limiting risk to his clients. He convinced us to allow our 10-year old to ride on her own SUP, and he kept a close eye on her throughout the 7km journey, coached her expertly and showered her with praise. With a depth of knowledge about the local area, a background in teaching, and as an expert SUP practitioner, he turned our journey down the Khwae Yai into a purely delightful experience. Not long and we were all meandering along quite confidently. Troy and his guide, Fidel, were full of tricks and challenges, offsetting any thoughts of feeling tired. It wasn’t until the midway point of the return journey by bicycle, in itself a serene adventure through the countryside, that our 10-year old showed signs of fatigue. Troy coaxed her gently to the end, cautiously negotiating one or two tricky sections on the route. I must also mention the cost. At 750 baht pp, it was an excellent deal, and covered the best family outing of our vacation. We’ll be back for another section of the Khwae Yai by SUP, in 2022.percypercy

Awesome experience from start to finish! Must do!! After speaking to a friend and browsing the abundance of positive reviews and non-dual pricing, we decided to book ourselves onto one of their afternoon SUP tours. I can honestly state that this was one of the best experiences we encountered whilst in Kanchanaburi (and probably my best water adventure experience in Thailand)!! Admittedly, I was slightly nervous given my lack of experience however, this was short-lived thanks to our guide Troy making me feel straight at ease from the start. Troy began by teaching us some key SUP manoeuvres along with how best to navigate down the river (including a free geography lesson on the river and formation!). Throughout the journey, Troy taught us both basic and advanced skills (my friend was much more experienced than me) and was incredibly attentive in ensuring we were both safe at all times! Furthermore, Troy continued to answer any questions we had whilst on the SUPs. The views were exceptional throughout the journey and we even spotted some wildlife! Great day on the river and worth the adventure if only for this. Overall, we were glad to have experienced this adventure with Troy and were not disappointed at all!LauraP2924

We booked an afternoon trip for a few hours with Troy to paddle along a very nice part of the river. Troy went above and beyond in regards to safety, professionalism and providing well-maintained SUP boards and paddles to us. On top of that, he also taught us several skills & manouvers which was huge bonus. I have gone on tours with other places in Kanchanaburi but SUP Hire Thailand Co. provides the best value for money + well customised trips with professional guidance. We had a great day out and would definitely go with this company again. Thank you!
