LAGUNA MADRE BAY is located between the South Texas coast and Padre Island from Corpus Christi south to South Padre Island, TX. One of the Earth’s 6 hypersaline lagoons, where the salinity is above sea water. It has one of the most unspoiled and protected Eco systems in Texas and the U.S.

BROWNSVILLE/PORT ISABEL SHRIMP BASIN is one of the largest fleets of Shrimp Boats in Texas. This location was established in 1953.
KEPPEL AMFELS was established in 1990. They are in the business of construction, refurbishment, conversion and life extension and repair of a complete range of mobile drilling rigs and platforms.
PORT OF BROWNSVILLE is the only deep-water port located on the U.S.-Mexico Border, with approximately 40, 000 acres of land, 17 miles of waterfront, access and direct route to international bridge crossings and rail connections.

SPACEX Launch Facility (Starbase) is Elon Musk’s private test launch and rocket production site. This location was chosen primarily for its proximity to the equator where Earth’s higher rotational speed means rockets need less propellant to reach orbit.

- Currently, there is no mask mandates or capacity limitations in place. You are welcome to wear a mask, but they are not required. We do make a practice of sanitizing the boat between trips, and our Captain and Crew frequently wash their hands.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

What a great morning!! Isla Tours/Captain Murphy Port of Brownsville tour was spectacular. It was interesting, informative and funny. Captain Patrick,Jennifer, and a young man whos name I can not remember were great hosts. From the coffee and doughnuts to the shrimp to the marine biology lesson this tour is first class informal. You will learn lots and enjoy doing it.Patrick was a very knowledgeable and FUN captain!! The tour was well worth the money & we got to see a lot of dolphins! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get out and have a fun half day trip. We enjoyed learning about the ships in the area and the history of Port Brownsville.

Fun boat ride, history lesson about the Brownsville Port, doughnuts and coffee, shrimp cocktail, and seeing dolphins ….. how can you beat it??!! Bring your sunscreen, hat, and a big water bottle. Patrick was the captain and he was a wealth of knowledge and fun. Jen and Junior were great crew mates. After landing, headed to Ceviche Ceviche for a yummy lunch and to the beach. We saw the dismantling of the Kittyhawk and several other huge ships. We even saw several dolphins on our way there and back. They served us coffee...
My wife and I took this tour if the Brownsville Ship yard and it was so enjoyable! The captain and crew were very informative, friendly,and helpful. We saw the dismantling of the Kittyhawk and several other huge ships. We even saw several dolphins on our way there and back. They served us coffee and donuts right off the bat and then shrimp cocktail on the way back. Highly recommended.It was a great trip. We enjoyed the day .. saw dolphins, history of area was interesting and fun. The crew was awesome .. knowledgeable and very nice. Shrimp was great.. would definitely recommend!
