My family and I truly enjoyed this private experience. We learned more about Polynesian culture, tiki’s and Hawaii. Mani took us through the farm to a stunning overlook to teach us how to carve. You learn a lot about carving in 2 hours so that you can create something unique. A great experience for a family with children (I suggest 7+) or all adults. Mani, our host, embodied the Aloha spirit which only enhanced this experience. This was the BEST experience of our trip! Mani and Ou (wood carvers) are incredibly talented, as well as patient, skilled, and encouraging instructors. I brought a group of local high school students who were allowed to customize their designs so that the artwork had "teen appeal." The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were proud to bring home their final products. As a side note, one of the students misplaced her phone during this trip. The staff was very supportive and accommodating, with one staff member going back to the wood carving site to retrieve it. Class act...highly recommend!
