We can visit the shrine, one of the most important temple in the city devotees from across India and the world visit this temple. The belief is - A Hindu should visit this temple at least once in his/her lifetime.

My wife & I are from Melbourne, Australia & it was our first visit to Varanasi. Our tour agents had secured the services of Neelesh to be our guide during our 3-day stay in Varanasi. From the moment we first met him, we felt totally comfortable with him. He was punctual, well spoken and very knowledgeable, both from a spiritual aspect as well as the history of this great ancient city. He knew every detail of the various temples that he took us to and provided us with many anecdotes of Lord Shiva. Other than the spiritual aspect of our visit (we even managed to have a dip in Ganga-ji), he also introduced us to a number of local delicacies that we would not have thought to try. His assurances that the food was safe meant that we were able to add another memorable experience trying the local delicacies. On some occasions, he even paid for what we ate!!. Neelesh was always accommodating of our requests, even organising a local trishaw ride for my wife & i while he followed in another trishaw behind us, just to make sure that we were safe. By the end of our stay, Neelesh became more of a friend than a guide. We feel enriched for our stay in Varanasi & that credit goes to Neelesh. We could not recommend Neelesh any more highly for his gentle & friendly personality, his deep knowledge of both Hinduism & the rich history of Varanasi. If you want an unforgettable experience, then please ensure that you have Neelesh guiding you in Varanasi!!I travelled to India alone and arrived feeling apprehensive. I travelled to India alone and arrived feeling apprehensive. As many people describe India it is an assault on all the senses and can easily be overwhelming. However, thanks to Nilesh being so friendly and welcoming I quickly felt at ease and settled into my Indian adventure. Whilst in Varanasi Nilesh really helped me to make the most of the short time I had. I thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise boat cruise along the River Ganges. The evening ceremony on the ghats along the river was also a wonderful experience. Sipping a delicious chai whilst watching the bustling river made me feel immersed in the local culture and was definitely something I will not forget. Nilesh was very knowledgeable, a real fountain of information and more than happy to answer any questions. He was also able to arrange activities I requested such as a yoga session and speaking with a guru. I was worried about getting a case of ‘deli belly' but Nilesh was able to recommend reputable places to eat, as well as suggest the best options on the menu. Nilesh also took me to try some food from local street vendors which was absolutely delicious. Every meal time was a wonderful culinary experience and I left India with a love of Paneer and also vegetarian/vegan food, which has stayed with me after returning home. I cannot recommend Pilgrimage Varanasi highly enough I genuinely do not feel my trip would have been so fantastic had it not been for them.We had a great time on the tour with Neelesh. He is informative, patient and helps you understand so much more about the history and beauty of Varanasi.
