Photowalk in São Paulo on Paulista Avenue
Overview
How about practicing photography while enjoying life, making new friends and visually discovering Paulista? Experiencing an environment of freedom, autonomy, and connection \o/
The experience has 3 moments:
We start with a chat about photography for 1h in a coffee shop. In it, we will talk about my life story (a big life change) both verbally and through photographs to explore the meanings of photographs. We'll look at printed photos, a book (made by our local photowalk community which printed copies are not publicly available), etc. The conversation sets the mood of the photowalk and connects the group.
Afterwards, we will photowalk through Paulista Avenue with some special places included that were discussed during our initial chat (Fri/Sat/Sun: we have special authorization to photograph the Conjunto Nacional building*).
We will end our photowalk with a special and personalized surprise for each participant. Just this surprise is worth the ticket value ;).
Let's go together! Book now \o/
Inclusions
- A special and personalized surprise at the end that just this surprise is worth the ticket value ;).
- The photographer (Filipe Morgado) will lead a photography chat during the first moment of the experience and will assist everyone during the experience.
- Authorization to photograph in the Conjunto Nacional building (on Fri/Sat/Sun and respecting unexpected events that prevent us).
- Small groups, up to 4 people.
What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Paulista Avenue, Avenida Paulista, Sao Paulo, State of Sao Paulo 01311-200 Brazil
Paulista Avenue is a very important avenue not only for São Paulo but for Brazil.
We'll walk at a pace of a photowalk, with time to explore all the details just photographers can see. It is not a touristic walk, there won't be a guide shouting to you and destroying your concentration and asking you to walk faster and don’t pay attention to where you are at.
Focus brings clarity, make you able to perceive more of what is happening around you, so you can get better photos and the most pleasure. You will be free to explore the details, shapes, textures, patterns, architecture, colors, light, street artists…
We may also visit some "hidden" places around Paulista according to the interest of the group (chosen during our initial chat).
On Sundays and holidays, imagine a big and extremely important avenue like Paulista closed for cars and open just for people and artists. The atmosphere is amazing, pure freedom and with many attractions, which is an awesome opportunity for a photowalk.
I'll be nearby all the time if you need help with photography or something else.
The experience can be totally enjoyed regardless of the type of equipment (smartphones are also welcomed!) or your photography knowledge.
What happens if it rains? I'll be there for you. If the rain is light, it's ok to do the photowalk with rain protection. If it's strong, we can photograph indoors, enjoy photo books and exhibitions that cultural centers at Paulista can offer to us.
The experience is a PHOTOWALK, NOT a PHOTO SHOOT/ESSAY/SESSION, nor a photography WORKSHOP, as I do not impose learning to the participants. I advise on photographic techniques according to the interest of each participant.
Attention:
On Sundays and holidays, the experience begins at Starbucks Manoel da Nobrega. On weekdays and Saturdays, the experience starts at Havanna coffee shop at Shopping Patio Paulista.
Duration: 3 hours 15 minutes
Stop At: Conjunto Nacional, Avenida Paulista 2073 Bela Vista, Sao Paulo, State of Sao Paulo 01311-940 Brazil
After our 1 hour photography chat in a cafe, besides walking through the avenue photographing and being able to observe their postcards and street artists, we will have access to private places such as the Conjunto Nacional building (CN) which requires authorization to photograph (only on Fri/Sat/Sun) in their common areas (unexpected events within the CN may happen and prevent our entry, even having our authorization, if that happens, we'll end our photowalk at IMS Paulista with a beautiful view of Paulista Avenue) .
Inside CN building we will end our Experience in a special way with a personalized surprise that just this surprise alone is worth the ticket value \o/.
We may also visit some "hidden" places around Paulista according to the interest of the group (chosen during our initial chat).

I loved this experience! It's so fun to share the practice of photography with other enthusiasts, while knowing the city at the same time. Filipe is a very attentive host. He offers his photographic knowledge according to the necessities and will of each guest.

The experience is unique! Difficult to put into words. His passion for photography is obvious and for any photography lover there is nothing better than finding someone with the same passion. In fact, the initial talk makes ALL the difference. It is in this talk that we understand where this experience comes from and the meaning of it. And we also have the opportunity to share with him what photography represents to us - and it is this talk that allows Filipe to curate a personalized experience. It should be said that he has a great deal of knowledge of the subject, shared personal stories with me and was at all times concerned not only with my well-being throughout the experience but also very willing to listen to me - and man do I speak nonstop! Anyway, I loved to take part in this experience and I recommend it to all photography lovers! PS: Don't even let me mention the surprise at the end of the experience! I was really impressed. Thank you! Aliás, a conversa inicial faz TODA a diferença.
