Guide Tai along with driver Aud were awesome, Turned out we were the only ones on the tour so it was a great experience. Tai was friendly , funny and more importantly had all the knowledge about when to go to beat the crowds. Sunrise was just stunning, plenty of time to take pictures and just absorb the scenery. Then James Bond island, at one point we were the only ones on it, seeing all the stalls ready for the big boats later made you appreciate why it’s worth getting up for a 4am start. Canoeing next, personally my least favourite bit, found it too crowded and touristy. The best bit for me was exploring the caves, I’ve never been in such a space before. Again tai’s knowledge and his enthusiasm for nature impressed. In between all this you travel in a local fisherman’s longtail boat, much needed extra income for them and much needed relaxation for you. Big party boat? No thanks. Lovely freshly cooked pad Thai for lunch and back to your hotel to snooze by the pool, I’m really not an early morning person but this was totally worth it. The organisation and smoothness of this varied early start tour is exceptional and well worth that alarm clock waking you from a deep slumber. There was only two of us on the tour which was a bonus and still as interactive and fun as if there was a group. The hike to Phang Nga is a steep incline walk with the night stars twinkling crystal clear in the dark cloudless sky. There were a few hikers that had camped overnight to see the sunrise but still this was a beautifully quiet and tranquil moment watching san amazing sunrise with some clouds to capture the beautiful colours on display. Left alone until we were ready, Tour leader Thai was keen for us to move onto the van to take us to the long boat ride to James Bond Island so we would experience the quiet and serene beauty without the tour groups. A quick coffee, pastry and power bar and we made our way to the van with cold water and towels provided. James Bond Island was exceptional with only a handful of early risers and the tour just kept improving. After the Island we moved onto a cave to see the stalagmites and stalactites and whilst initially there is a tight squeeze to enter, it was worth the knee shuffle, a vast cavern of amazing geological wonders. Back into the long tail boat and speeding towards the canoeing experience. This was an organised company that employ canoeists to take you around the islands and enter the caves. They are informative with a few rock features pointed out, the odd joke and about a 45 minute canoe ride which was leisurely and relaxing even if you were in a queue of other tour canoeists using the same company, yet it was safe and well organised. The other disappointment was sea levels were too high to enter the vast cave that is often displayed in photos and there is nothing you can do about that. Back to the long boat again and a short ride to the island of the seashells. A small steep walk which was not too difficult and Thai was informing us of the lost treasures and the history of the Islands and the myth of the lost treasure. The vast amount of seashells is quite mesmerising. The last long boat experience took us back to the van and a short drive for lunch which comprised of Chicken Pad Thai and a beer. Every time we went back to the van we had cold water, soft drinks and towels to freshen up. They certainly take care of their guests, organise the trip efficiently and keep you to time to ensure the best experience they promise to give you. I cannot recommend this trip enough, just keep an eye on the weather and plan when rain isn’t predicted for sunrise hours. Professional highly engaged tour guide and van driver and a smooth trip that lasted over 8 hours from being picked up to dropped off, worth every Baht.johnurdell

Went with my sister on this tour. It was supposed to be a small group tour but ends up the only ones who booked for that day was the 2 of us, so we had the guide all to ourselves. The guide was helpful and took plenty of fun shots for us. We haven't received our pictures from her though. The guide was extremely well prepared for the tour, bringing along stuff like walking sticks and torchlights for the sunrise hike. Though it was a cloudy day and the sun was hidden behind the clouds, the view at Samet Nangshe was still one that is worth the hike up. The hike was easy, all you have to do was to walk along a path already constructed for trucks to drive up to the Viewpoint. It can be a little steep though. Thereafter we went on a long tail boat around Phang Nga Bay. The guide brought us to a James Bond Island and because this tour started so early it seems like we have the whole island to ourselves! We also went to a bat cave which was not frequented by tourists and got to learn a lot about limestones and their formation process. The canoeing was also fun as there was a person who would paddle the canoe ans show you some interesting formations of limestones. Overall an amazing experience. Though we felt the price for this tour was a little expensive, but because it is so exclusive, we felt that it was still worth the splurge.katievlawson

We did the early bird tour last week to James Bond and Phang Nga bay, completely worth the early start! We beat all of the crowds, saw nobody on James Bond island, the sunrise was a once in a lifetime breathtaking morning and our guide primmy was just phenomenal so friendly and informative. It really was the perfect day out, not too long either, we were back in time for some chill time round the pool at our hotel so win win. I couldn’t recommend this company enough! Small group tours are the way forward, we did no big tours in Thailand but saw a few and they just looked so cramped!! This is a maximum 8 person tour, on the day we did it we us two and another 2 couples in total and it worked out very well.
