Visit of the Fragonard Perfume Factory in Grasse (30mn), combined with an olfactory workshop (15 minutes)
Located south of the old Grasse town centre, the Fabrique des Fleurs was built in 1986 for the production of perfumes and soaps, since the Historical Factory had run out of space. While this factory invites you to a journey of discovery through the main stages of perfume making, the highly functional plant is equipped with today’s state-of-the-art production tools.
A tour of the bottling workshops provides a glimpse of how the perfumed products that leave the factory are metamorphosed into refined products ready to be shipped to a public of discerning customers. In addition to the production lines, the building houses the laboratory where the raw materials are blended, after analysis, to obtain concentrates of the future perfumes.

Lovely experience with knowledgeable staff. Only issue was finding it - we walked uphill for 50 minutes from the train station only to find we were in the wrong factory! So we spent £20 in a taxi going back down the hill to the correct place! The address needs to be clearer on the booking.

Die Tour kann übrigens jeder umsonst machen, das, was etwas kostet ist im...
Diese Tour war kurz und sehr oberflächlich im Superschnellverfahren sind wir durch die Manufaktur getrabt und auch wenn die Dame nett war, hat sie die Informationen doch sehr schnell runtergerasselt und schwupp wars vorbei. Die Tour kann übrigens jeder umsonst machen, das, was etwas kostet ist im Anschluss… „ein Parfüm mischen“ Leider konnte man nur den aktuellen Sommerduft der Firma unter Anleitung nachmischen … die Mischung durfte man dann mitnehmen. Anschließend gings in den Shop. Wer mal kurz reinschnuppern will ist hier gut aufgehoben, wer mehr wissen will nicht : )Visite en famille. Musée gratuit avec possibilité guidée. Sinon QR codes à dispo dans les salles pour toutes les infos et histoires. Boutique Fragonard pour tester les fragances ou achats de parfums. Exceptionnel. Created my own gently scented eau de toileltteIt's a crowded place full of visitors who come by here to see and buy perfume. Our tourgroup came by here around 4pm and the shop was busy. It's a crowded place full of visitors who come by here to see and buy perfume. Our tourgroup came by here around 4pm and the shop was busy. The store was bright and nice. After waiting a while, a staff accompanied our group and brought us on an introductory tour, where we had to walk down a flight of stairs to the basement, where we were shown how perfume was made and the history of the store over the years. It was eye-opening experience for us. However as mentioned, there were many visitors and tour groups and so during our walk-about, tour groups clashed with one another, and also a lot of noises and interference from the other groups and that made it difficult for us to listen clearly to our guide. After this tour, we were brought to a big hall with several counters, where the guide would give out several samples of different perfumes for us to "smell". This is the place as if like a departmental store, there were so many perfumes around or related products on display. At this point, the guide would "hard sell" the bottles of perfume, as a bundle or promo package. Unless you are a fan of perfume or one who like perfume, you will it interesting or it maybe a little boring or irritating if you are sensitive towards the various smells or fragrances. And you exit on the right with washrooms on the side and by then, the store was already closed and we were the last tourgroup to leave! Overall, an interesting experience.
