Overview

Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is a few minutes from Québec City. Located between the river and the cliffs, it's one of the province's most spectacular sites. With its 83 meters high (30 meters higher than Niagara Falls),  Montmorency Falls dominates the landscape. It can be discovered on foot, by cable car, or from the gourmet restaurant. It's an ideal setting for a stroll after a business meeting or a reception. For the more active, a 300-meters zipline, and the via ferrata, a hiking trail on a cliff, promises some adrenaline and breathtaking views. Accessible year-round, the site works its magic day and night. During winter, in very cold weather, fine splashes from the falls freeze and eventually form the famous Sugar Loaf, an impressive cone of ice at the foot of the waterfall. The entire cove of the park has been illuminated after dark. Discover an impressive and enchanting spot!

This was an adventure! The views were breathtaking! When you arrive you have the choice to ride up and down the incline. We chose to ride to the top and use the stairs to go down. The walk down provided ample stopping spots for photos.

Was there in early march, so lake frozen which allowed for closer access to falls by walking to falls. View very good with ice access, i suspect less in summer. Cable Car was ok but i would likely skip it, i believe u can drive upto the to the top. Small snack bar present.
