What to expect
You will discover Padua's top attractions, but also get a chance to wonder around the less-known alleys and the hidden corners to discover an authentic Padua.
The tour follows the medieval waterways that completely surround the town and you will learn about Padua, the water-based city, where goods and people navigated along canals to reach the rich markets in Venice.
You will notice the rests of the medieval walls, ancient bridges and river ports, the Jewish ghetto and the house of Galileo Galilei.
We stop for an amazing discovery of the famous squares: Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Frutti and Prato della Valle, the largest square in Europe. Also an outside visit of the University building, the Santa Giustina and St. Antony basilicas, the famous Cafè Pedrocchi.
Don't miss the delicious handmade ice-cream or the special cocktail that students of the second oldest university in the world use to drink (the recipe is absolutely secret!).
