COURSE INCLUDES
- Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in our classroom).
- 5 Confined Water Dives at our on-site pool to learn basic scuba skills.
- 4 Open Water Dives at Sail Rock.
- All required learning materials and dive equipment.
- PADI Open Water Diver Certification.
- Resort Transfers. Taxi fee is payable if located in Thong Nai Pan. No Haad Yuan or Haad Tien transfers.

The PADI Open Water Diver Course in Ko Pha Ngan is where your fun begins on the island. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, experience adventure and see what lies beneath the waters surface, this is where it starts. The 3 day PADI Open Water Diver Course gives you a lifetime certification that will take you on adventures around the world for as long as you can imagine. You'll get to dive at the best dive site in the area, Sail Rock!
PREREQUISITE
To signup for the PADI Open Water Course, you must be at least 10 years of age, be in good physical health and have adequate swimming skills.

- Near public transportation
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Face masks required for travelers in public areas
- Face masks required for guides in public areas
- Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
- Social distancing enforced throughout experience
- Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas
- Gear/equipment sanitized between use
- Transportation vehicles regularly sanitized
- Guides required to regularly wash hands
- Regular temperature checks for staff
- Temperature checks for travelers upon arrival
- COVID-19 vaccination required for guides
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

You can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
Cancellation
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of the experience.

I completed my OWD course at Sail Rock with Asia Blue and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! My instructor Indy was the best! He made sure everyone in our group had fun while at the same time teaching us the diving skills necessary so that we felt safe and competent in the water. During the dive visibility was amazing, we saw massive schools of tropical fish, and a whale shark! Thanks for opening up this amazing new world to me Indy and Asia Blue! Ich habe über 3 Tage meinen Padi Open Water Tauchkurs gemacht und würde es immer wieder hier machen. Ich wüsste nicht was besser hätte sein können...! Große Empfehlung :)

Moin Leute, ich möchte euch hier den Open water Kurs mit Asia blue empfehlen. Es hat wirklich super viel Spaß gemacht die ganzen Skills im Pool kennenzulernen und sie dann im Meer auszuprobieren. Die Theorie kann in Englisch aber auch in Deutsch abgelegt werden. Tom mein Tauchlehrer, hat sehr gut...

Die Theorie kann in Englisch aber auch in Deutsch abgelegt werden. Tom mein Tauchlehrer, hat sehr gute Arbeit geleistete, er war stets geduldig und motivierend und hat immer ein Auge auf uns gehabt, sodass wir immer in sicheren Händen waren. Sail Rock ist absolut großartig was die Artenvielfalt anbelangt. Nur wenn ihr Seekrank seit wird die hin sowie die Rückfahrt kein wirklich großer Spaß sein.Sebmunoz26

A bit of a long review but I wanted it to be thorough and honest.. My girlfriend, Andrea, and I came to Ko Pha Ngan to do the full moon party and potentially try out some diving before maybe heading to Ko Tao. We ended up signing up to do the Open Water course with Asia Blue since we felt it was a great price for 4 boat dives. We also felt like Michael (owner), genuine person, was very honest about how our boat dives to Sail Rock would be and we were sold right from the start. This takes us to the actual course. In 3 days we completed the course under the guidance of Tom and we never felt more safe and composed than when we were training with him. In the pool he was very patient with us as we went over all the relevant training for the actual dives. On the actual boat dives he allowed my girlfriend, myself and another student to stay composed and definitely enhanced our underwater experience. He really made us understand that scuba diving takes some time and practice to get the hang of and he was great at helping my girlfriend take the pressure off herself after she felt less in control of her first dive than she wanted to be. It was fun and easy diving after that, so much in fact that we got the hang of diving horizontally very quickly (apparently can take some time). Tom was also funny to talk to and had great stories regarding some previous dives and overall just a hell of an interesting guy. We didn’t even attend the full moon party because we wanted to rest well and we were stoked to train/ go diving. Tom, we appreciate you and wish you the best in the future! You’ll be missed! We did our open water diving course and so our first diving experience ever with Asia Blue. We booked a basic course (pool & beach dives) with basic accommodation (dorm) for only 252,00€ each, which is the best price I've seen all over the world. We had a lot of fun, Val took his time and was very patient with us. He explained us a lot of things and made us feel comfortable. My partner was a little bit anxious at the beginning of the first dives, but our instructor took her fear and made her having fun and enjoying this amazing experience. We also expected to be just a part of a big group and we were happily surprised when we realized that it will be only us two and Val. We literally had our private diving teacher for 4 days. Also the beach dives where better than expected. Meanwhile we dove at other spots, so we know it is not the most amazing diving experience from the beach. But I think for us and for other beginners it's just a good way to start. Thanks guys, we can just recommend the entire course. Peter & Theresa
