Overview
The additional time allows us to push further north past sandy Vlasoff Cay and on to the outer reaches of the Reef to immerse yourself in the colours and textures of the reef and clear blue waters. The massive North Queensland skies provide unforgettable backdrops for the keen photographer to capture once in a lifetime images. Our local pilot/guides provide commentary and insights into the reef and its abundance of marine inhabitants.

A fabulous scenic helicopter flight. In forty minutes, we’ll go beyond the inner reef, to the outer regions of the Great Barrier Reef where the frequency of coral structures is outstanding. The additional time allows us to explore more widely, watching out for the incredible reef wildlife flourishing in this World Heritage listed icon.

My wife and I flew with Nils. Just the two of us on the flight as smaller helicopter than the bigger company in town. But this is what made is great. Just the two of us and was able to talk easily. Big windows and saw a lot. We were lucky enough to see whales, a mother and her calf splashing about. We did a number of turns so we could get a great view. My wife was a little nervous at first but Nils made her feel at ease and really enjoyed the flight. Highly recommend the team at Zoom.Fantastic tour for the full 40 minutes. Pilot Dave was a terrific guide and kept us informed of a wide range of local information during the entire flight. The reef was spectacular, mantas, rays and turtles a plenty kept use excited. I can not even begin to describe how wonderful this was. My daughter and I both found it amazing. This is a small company and definitely provides a personal, professional and educational experience. We arrived a little early and got started early. The pilot was amazing, very professional and was so proud to show us the reef. He told us what to expect before we left as far as visibility because of the sun. It was exactly as he said. With this being a small company, they weren’t about getting you up, flying around, getting you back to get another customer. I can’t say enough great things about this experience!!!! Thank you so much for a once in a lifetime experience for my daughter and me.Seamless experience. Chris loves helicopters. He has 20 years experience, and his 4 seater Robinson R44 is new and well-maintained. Fantastic views of Green Island.
