Out Off The Beaten Path Experience Everyday in Acapulco withLunch
Overview
Visit:
The The Mercado Municipal and its "witchcraft market", is really an eye-opener! and it is fascinating. There will be so much to see—dry goods, housewares, gorgeous flowers, candy, live roosters, fresh produce…. Many stalls featured health care products, which are a combination of herbal remedies and Santeria-type spells and prayers to saints. One of these stalls had a cage full of large live bugs, whose purpose you would prefer not to ask about.
A workshop to learn how to manufacture a piñata, witness a Mexican bakery, a Popsicle factory and more to learn why Acapulco is not just a resort town but a vibrant town to discover.

Mario and Jesus were great on this tour. Things were a little more difficult due to the COVID situation, but we definitely had a full and enjoyable day. They did a great job getting a bit off the beaten track and showing us some more everyday parts of Acapulco. They both spoke english very well, and the van was nice. At no point did we feel unsafe. The people of Acapulco were overall much better about observing COVID precautions than people in the US. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get a good look at the whole city of Acapulco and get a bit out of the resort areas. The tour was more in depth than expected with Rudy and Roger providing wonderful insights into their beautiful city. The tour was more in depth than expected with Rudy and Roger providing wonderful insights into their beautiful city. Releasing baby tortoises was a highlight and the family dedicated to protecting this species were wonderful. Although many impressive sights were included we were also treated to visits to both wealthy and very poor neighborhoods and open markets to have a better sense of the people of Acapulco. We felt very safe and would also recommend many of the delicious street food that was offered. This was a six hour tour and worth every penny. My wife and I with one other friend took a 4 hour tour of Acapulco with Rudy's Tour by Van. In addition to to your regular tourist spots like Cliff Divers, Diego Rivera's mosaic etc., we have seen parts of Acapulco that we wouldn't have ventured to on our own. Both Rudy and his driver were great. We were a group of 8 and took in the sights of Acapulco including a visit to see the divers. Rudy is very passionate about his city and provided a very informative overview matched by genuine and honest insights of his home town. The van we travelled in was almost brand new and very comfortable. We could not have chosen a better tour guide. I would certainly recommend him if you are coming to Acapulco. We all really enjoyed our tour with him.Based on the other TripAdvisor reviews, my wife and I took the guided tour of Acapulco with Rudy and Mario - for a bit over 6 hrs. It was excellent! Based on the other TripAdvisor reviews, my wife and I took the guided tour of Acapulco with Rudy and Mario - for a bit over 6 hrs. It was excellent! We went all over the city of Acapulco starting with the release of baby turtles in the morning, all around the city from there, saw the large homes in Las Brisas and Capilla de la Paz, the central market, the cliff divers, and then a late lunch at a great restaurant. They took photos, videos, and provided a nice collage of everything saw. Rudy and Mario are both very knowledgeable about the city, and also about the history of Mexico. I completely without hesitation recommend Rudy and his tour service! He can pretty much set you up with any combination of tours you want to do.My wife and I took a 4 hour tour with Rudy to the less touristy parts of Acapulco, including a long stop at the central market to enjoy freshly made Chalupas with the locals. My wife and I took a 4 hour tour with Rudy to the less touristy parts of Acapulco, including a long stop at the central market to enjoy freshly made Chalupas with the locals. There was nothing that felt scripted about the tour - it was more like having a friend show you around. Rudy is very knowledgeable, personable, and eager to answer any and all questions (he also speaks English fluently). He took pictures (of us and of the locales) along the way, and sent them to us in a nicely produced video (as well as individual photos). This was very handy in our case, as we wanted to be rather discreet in many of the areas we were visiting. Anyway, I would highly recommend Rudy as your choice in tour guides, no matter what you want to see in Acapulco!
