What to expect
We'll start by going over the basic design, layout, and technical specs of the Onewheel XR before jumping into operation. In this stage, I will go over all the specifics of the board and explain in depth exactly how to use, and ride the board in a safe and effective way. After all questions have been answered we'll jump into the action of getting on the board for the first time! I will assist in mounting, initial balance, and dismounting of the board as well as all other aspect of board control, acceleration, braking and stability. At this point, once you feel comfortable, its time to spread your wings and ride! All rides will take place in a beautiful setting right along the water at Liberty Station with minimum pedestrian traffic which is a great way to learn. I will then lead a short ride around park and bay showing off some of San Diego's natural beauty and history. No previous board sport experience is necessary to ride these amazing electric hoverboards, safety gear will be provided. With a top speed of 18mph and off-road capabilities you'll be having a blast in no time!

Jesse was such a good hoverboard instructor. We had a good time and he took fantastic footage of me on the hover board. I really appreciated learning a bit about the history of San Diego too.

Also rode them to the harbor area which I really enjoyed but which was more difficult for my wife.

The Onewheel is easy to ride and if you don't feel comfortable, they have E scooters also. Jesse was great to work with. They give you all the safety gear (helmet, pads, cable lock). It's a great way to see a lot if you are short on time. Fantastic rental experience. Took advantage of the lesson to get the basics down. Jesse is very knowledgeable with the onewheel and his teaching style is great. After the lesson you are free to go exploring and Jesse shows you some of the local options of which there are many. Note, the rental includes the onewheel which is in great condition, and safety equipment including a backpack to bring along for the ride. I will definitely be renting again and highly recommend Jesse and his rental service.
