Every first-timer, I'm sure, has the same exact thought: will I chicken out? The answer is 'no, you will not.' And you will be very glad that you did not. I expected my heart to be pounding and the panic to be rising as the jump approached, but none of that happened. As soon as we jumped it was oddly comfortable and the scenery was more than enough to distract from any other thoughts. The staff was excellent, my tandem partner (Angus) was personable and a good hype-man, and the whole operation ran professionally and smoothly. Skip the 9,000 foot jump and do either 12,000 or 15,000 (I did 12,000 and it was perfect for me.) Would recommend to anyone, and have already to people I met along the way.Skydiving in Queenstown was an incredible experience! The stunning views from high above took my breath away, and the thrill of the jump was pure fun. A memory I'll treasure forever!

Me and wife did a tandem dive with these guys. From start to finish, it was clear that this was a professionally run outfit. We were given clear instructions through out the process. Our tandem dive masters were fun and engaging. And the dive itself was a thrilling and fantastic experience! Anyone on the edge about this and reading this, just for for it! I would also recommend everyone to go for the 15,000 feet one as it will give you some precious extra seconds to absorb the free fall. The best way to see New Zealand is from 15,000+ feet high! The best way to see New Zealand is from 15,000+ feet high! NZONE Skydive Queenstown was an adrenaline rush, unlike anything I have ever experienced! A full minute (maybe more?) of freefall over where The Remarkables, Cecil's Peak, and Lake Wakatipu meet is not just incredible scenery. Still, it makes for an experience you will never, ever forget. My tandem master, Jack, was phenomenal, and I enjoyed chatting with him and asking him questions about his previous jumps and how he first got into skydiving. I was already pumped to do this jump, but his excitement was infectious, and I went off the plane even happier than I would have been otherwise! This experience would have been astounding no matter what, but with Jack pumping me up and doing a masterful job with the GoPro, fear was turned into art and joy. Here are a few tips for anyone who wants to do this experience: - Stay flexible. Weather over the lake and the mountains is unpredictable, and this crew truly cares about your well-being and maximizing your experience. My jump was rescheduled four times due to the weather, but it was worth it! Clear skies mean great views, and NZONE did a masterful job ensuring my group had optimal jump conditions. - Talk with your tandem master before the jump. They are there to ensure you have a good experience, and spending a bit of time chatting with them helps build a modicum of trust before you fall out of a plane with them. - EMBRACE THE FEAR. The body's reaction between outright fear and joy is a fine one. Don't fight the shock, the rush, the adrenaline. Lean into it, and your screams will end in laughs and excitement.
