I am a true expert on the northern lights and where to best find them. The tour is small and with a truly personal touch and good photography skills.

I believe you will be maximizing your chances by choosing to go with me. I am very experienced in reading into cloud cover and solar wind data. Eventually what happens is in the hands of mother nature but whatever there will be to see, you will see it with me.

If conditions are not favorable on your scheduled date, I will cancel and refund you. you can then decide to rebook for another date.

If you wish to join a northern light hunt with me you are in good hands. Finding the northern lights is one of my expertise and I have great knowledge of them and to predict the strength and likelihood of what we will see. Although the outcome is still in the hands of mother nature and nothing can be promised. I will be upfront and honest about the likelihood of seeing them on any given night, for you to cancel or go under my suggestions. I am as well capable of taking pictures of you with the lights that you can bring home to show your families and friends.
The visibility of the Northern lights is dependent on weather, such as cloud coverage and activity of the lights. Pre-briefing will be held 3 hours before departure, where I will explain our chances and what to expect. In accordance with the briefing you can go one with the tour or schedule for another night. Pre briefing will be sent by Email after last update on cloud cover shortly after 18:00. Expectations are different by people and the Northern lights vary a lot from being a marvelous display to being faint and only visible to a camera for example.

- Not wheelchair accessible
- Near public transportation
- Most travelers can participate
- Dress warm, in many cases, we will be standing outside in the cold waiting for the lights to show up, standing motionless in the Icelandic night with perhaps a wind chill will take the fun out of even great northern lights
- Northern lights do look more green and vivid on photographs.
- The price of the tour is the same, when the lights are weak and when they are strong.
- Due to nature of the tour being dependent on cloud cover and various space weather data, many nights will be canceled
- Small group maximum 6 persons
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking
Ticket delivery
You can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
Cancellation
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of the experience.

What an amazing trip. Thor is an exceptionally good guide but who is unbelievably passionate about what he does. His English is perfect and knowledge of the Northern lights was enlightening. He knows all the secret spots to go to. He is also very honest about the reality of the northern light...
What an amazing trip. Thor is an exceptionally good guide but who is unbelievably passionate about what he does. His English is perfect and knowledge of the Northern lights was enlightening. He knows all the secret spots to go to. He is also very honest about the reality of the northern lights and tries to manage your expectations. We were very lucky on the night that we had a great view with an array of colours. He takes as many photos as you want and he also has brilliant knowledge of Icelandic history and folklore. We came to Iceland specifically to see the northern lights. Our first scheduled tour with another company got cancelled. We came to Iceland specifically to see the northern lights. Our first scheduled tour with another company got cancelled. And based on what we learned from other travelers, pretty much all tours were getting cancelled every night due to weather. Then we found Thor!! He let us know that chances of seeing lights were low, but if we still wanted to go he would take us. SO glad we did! He is a true light hunter and methodically checked the forecast, radars, etc to figure out where to take us for the best chances. And he found them!! We watched a spectacular show in the sky, and he took incredible photos for us with his professional camera. We ended up seeing the lights in three different locations and he stayed out very late with us to ensure that we saw as much of the lights as possible and got all the photos we wanted. If you are going to try and see the lights drop everything and only book Thor!!ela230590

Just want to share my experience as might help. We just returned from Iceland. My dream was to see the Northern lights since forever so as you imagine was very important for me to see them. Our chances were kind of low as was cloudy almost every night. We took a bus tour, but not only we didn't see anything but was not what we were hoping for so did not rebooked it. Our last chance of seeing was the last night so we decided to go with a more private tour, although more expensive but when you think how much you spend to see the lights and disappointment of not seeing them is not worth it. So we took the tour with Iceland In Motion and we had the most amazing time. Thor knows what he's doing and if there is something on the sky he'll find it for sure. He took us to a very nice area and moved like 3 times every time they faded for us to see a bit more. So, don't go cheap on NL tours, do on everything else but follow your dream😁
