Northern Lights are undoubtedly the biggest draw to visiting Iceland in winter. Rest assured that with us you’re gonna do what it takes to catch’em all! We’re also in for spontaneous off-roads if you wish to spice up your Northern Lights hunt with extra adventures. And if you’re not lucky enough the first time, do not cross it off your travel bucket list yet. We’re prepared for such an eventuality and give you one extra tour, free of charge.

Where to begin! On our bucket list for the trip were the Northern Lights, and of course as a natural occurrence we couldn’t really plan for them. After researching other tours we found Icelandic Roamers and liked that they would take you off the beaten track away from the bigger tour buses stops to hunt for the lights. They also like most other companies give you a primary booking and offer a second (included in the price) in case you don’t see them the first time. Miro our guide was super responsive and communicated with us prior to us even arriving in Reykjavik. Once we arrived we had booked in for the Sunday, we were picked up in the huge land rover defender which apart from looking cool also proved excellent for navigating the snow and ice. We drove around an hour out of town and went to a few stops, Miro had been checking the weather frequently as the forecast changes every 5 minutes in Iceland. Miro was very knowledgeable and also just a super charismatic guy who has incredible stories to tell, which helped pass the time while the wind battered the sides of the car (we were nice and cozy inside!). Miro also brought along some incredible hot chocolate which really perked us up. Sadly on this day we didn’t see the lights, but Miro said he’d be in touch with another opportunity before we headed home. The final evening before we left to go home Miro picked us up and very excitedly told us that there had been sightings not far out of the city. We pulled over a couple of times and then we saw them, it was breathtaking. Miro set up his camera and directed us to take the most fantastic pictures. We moved again and found a much more intense visual in the sky, it’s an indescribable experience. Miro made our trip and I cannot recommend him and the team more. It was totally unforgettable.This was an amazing tour and highly recommended! Not only was the hot chocolate some of the best I've ever had, but we got engaged!! Izabela, our guide, was fantastic! She was in on the secret and helped prepare my bf (now fiance) for the shot without tipping me off. She took so many photos and...

She was in on the secret and helped prepare my bf (now fiance) for the shot without tipping me off. She took so many photos and even added a surprise one for us :) They captured a super special moment for us and we couldn't be happier!!Robert and the crew was phenomenal. Got to know Miro by coincidence on Instagram when I was searching for a off-road car to rent while in Iceland. Was a great idea when I decided to explore Iceland with a local guide who had a great ride and a genuine photographer eye, spent two days in the gorgeous highlands where Miro highlighted the best landmarks and sceneries. Great car, safe smooth and comfy driving skills, good camping food, great tent and an amazing camp site, overall (10/10). No regrets on this decision where I have never felt better, must say will do it again. Back home with some great photos and a lot of amazing memories.In the US we have storm chasers. In Iceland they have Northern Lights chasers. Deividas with Icelandic Roamers is one of the best! This past Monday he took us out chasing and did we ever catch the lights!!! In the US we have storm chasers. In Iceland they have Northern Lights chasers. Deividas with Icelandic Roamers is one of the best! This past Monday he took us out chasing and did we ever catch the lights!!! We saw a beautiful show and it was all due to his persistence on pleasing us. What a great guy - personable, knowledgeable, and he even brought hot chocolate and Icelandic cookies!
