Northern Lights Adventure By Snowmobile
Overview
On this trip we combine the excitement of snowmobiling with experiencing the northern lights dancing across the sky. We take you along the old postal road up to the very edge of Finnmarksvidda to a mountain range called Beskardes.
Far away from the lights of the city this trip provides the ideal conditions to see the northern lights in a beautiful winter landscape. If we are lucky we will get to see the magnificent northern lights dancing across the sky on our trip, or be treated with a beautiful arctic night sky.

What to expect
On this trip we combine the excitement of snowmobiling with experiencing the northern lights dancing across the sky. We take you along the old postal road up to the very edge of Finnmarksvidda to a mountain range called Beskardes.

Meet us at our Æverntyr Adventure Store in the city center 5-10 minutes before the start of the Tour. From here we will drive you to Gargia Valley, approx. 25km from Alta.
18:30
We arrive at Gargia Lodge. Here you will meet your guide and get a briefing about today’s trip. You will also receive thermosuits, boots and gloves for the trip.
19:00
After getting dressed you will receive a safety briefing on the snowmobiles. Now we are ready and can start our adventure.
20:00
We will arrive at Beskades. Here we will take a short stop and enjoy the amazing view in all directions before heading back down to Gargia Lodge.
21:15
We arrive back at Gargia Lodge.
22:00
We will drop you off in the city center where we started our trip.

- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Only the holders of a valid B class drivers license are allowed to drive a snowmobile in Norway. You are required to present your license for verification before taking part on the ride. Guests without a valid driving license are only allowed to be passengers.
- You will share a snowmobile with another passenger, so each of you will get to drive half of the trip.
- Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
- Paid stay-at-home policy for staff with symptoms
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 17 travelers

Wir waren mit der Aida in Alta und haben eine private Snowmobile Tour mit Vegard gemacht! Wir wurden direkt am Schiff abgeholt und in die super schöne Lodge gebracht! Hier haben wir warme Anzüge bekommen und sind nach einer gründlichen Einweisung mit den Snowmobilen in die weite Natur gefahren und haben Nordlichter entdecken können! Die Tour war sehr professionell organisiert und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Kann ich sehr empfehlen!!! Viel SpaßWir hatten sehr viel Spaß zu Lernen wie die Schneekatzen funktionieren und dann selbstständig damit durch die Natur zu brausen! Man bekommt 1A warme und funktionelle Kleidung und Ausrüstung (Helm, Overall, Pullover, Handschuhe und Stiefel). Super Abholung, Einweisung und Betreuung durch Annichen....
Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß zu Lernen wie die Schneekatzen funktionieren und dann selbstständig damit durch die Natur zu brausen! She is a highly experienced guide with a great character to make the adventure even better.
