-Walk into 3-4 local craft breweries and get a chance to taste and learn about a variety of different beer styles, the brewing process, food and beer pairing and what it takes to start a successful brewery
-Learn how to pair beer with food while munching on some delicious snacks
-Learn about a neighborhood that went from an area filled with street cars to a land of hipsters and famous restaurants
-This is NOT only for beer nerds. (Other options will be available)

Stop At: North Park, San Diego, CA, USA
Meet our experienced local beer nerd in San Diego’s iconic North Park neighborhood. Your group will get a chance to know each other and your guide will give you an overview of your adventure. While walking throughout this hipster-centric neighborhood, you will get a chance to stop at some of San Diego’s award winning breweries. At each brewery you will get an opportunity to try a variety of unique local beers, while learning about things such as beer tasting, food and beer pairing, and the award winning San Diego beer world! After the tour is over feel free to ask your guide about any insider information on what to eat and drink in San Diego. Tastings throughout the tour are subject to change.

Stephan (Glen. private joke) was a great host who made sure everybody was involved. Went to 3 different Micro Brewery's. Had 4 samples in the first 3 in the second and 2 in the last. The food pairing was very interesting. Would recommend

This tour is an absolute must, (even if you aren’t a Beer nerd) he breaks it all down so it’s easy to understand even with a limited knowledge of beer. I was supposed to take my father to the Beerucation tour in hopes of improving his favorite beer type as “Cold”, but unfortunately he had a prior obligation that conflicted with the tour. I attended the tour as one of the only Americans on the tour, and met a bunch of Canadians who shared the same passion for beer! I’m sure if you ask them they’d rate the tour an “Eh-Plus”! Stefan is so passionate about what he does, it exudes through everything he talks about…culture, food, beer, you name it! He gives you a great history of beer, the science behind the flavors, San Diego and the surrounding Neighborhoods, and the beer scenes in SD/around the US. He has a close personal relationship with the brewers/breweries on the tour, and they all treat him like a honorary member of the brewery. I will definitely make a point to do this tour when I visit SD again, and try his other tours!We had a great tour with Stefan. We were a mixed bag...two "we would rather drink a cider" gals, one run-of-the-mill beer drinker and one craft beer collector/trader. Each one of us enjoyed this tour immensely. Stefan was a fountain of facts about beer, ingredients, pairings, local breweries, etc...
We had a great tour with Stefan. We were a mixed bag...two "we would rather drink a cider" gals, one run-of-the-mill beer drinker and one craft beer collector/trader. Stefan was a fountain of facts about beer, ingredients, pairings, local breweries, etc. We had such a fun day and were all really happy to learn how to pick the appropriate beer to go with various types of food! No more IPAs with sushi, for instance! This is a perfect way to have a unique experience with out-of-town guests as a great insight into all the craft breweries here is SD!Fun experience. Stefan was very knowledgeable and friendly. He clearly knew someone at each of the 4 local places we visited. We had 8 flight sized glasses of beer ranging in type and flavor. Fun experience. Stefan was very knowledgeable and friendly. He clearly knew someone at each of the 4 local places we visited. We had 8 flight sized glasses of beer ranging in type and flavor. There was a cheeseboard pairing and a fish taco and fries. Stefan talked extensively about how beer is brewed and about differences between types. He spoke about food pairings with beer which was illustrated by the food and drinks provided. This was fun and worth doing!Stefan was fun and provided us great stories and knowledge of beers!
